How is it possible those of us who see how wildly messed up this all is cant come together as one in condemnation? How is it possible for Republicans to continue supporting a malignant figure who would unleash his hateful hounds on them in a heartbeat?
As Trump and pathetic wannabes like Greene have committed outrage after outrage after outrage, each time sinking to new depths, theres a common refrain: Ignore them. Dont give them the attention they crave.
Trump Did Not Institute A Full Ban On Travel From China

Trump has repeatedly claimed, including at his first debate against Joe Biden, that he made a decision to close all travel to the United States from China in February and saved 2 million American lives, while taking considerable heat for an early ban, The Washington Post reported.
However, Trumps travel restrictions were not all-inclusive, and went into effect on February 2, after 45 countries had already imposed their own restrictions, according to the outlets reporting.
The so-called “China travel ban” that Pence touts was mostly “canceling” flights that the airlines had already grounded. And it was so porous that 40,000 people came to the US from China anyway.

Trumps restrictions also allowed travel from China to the States for more than five months after their announcement, and more than 8.000 Chinese and foreign nationals still entered the country after the sanctions the Associated Press described as porous were imposed.
In the first months of the limited restrictions, at least 27,000 Americans also flew to the United States from China, the outlet also noted.
Did Joe Biden Call Trump Hysterical & Xenophobic For His Travel Restrictions

Pence also claimed that Biden called Trumps travel restrictions xenophobic and hysterical during the debate. Nonpartisan fact-checkers, however, have pointed out that Bidens comments on Trump were made in the context of criticizing his general temperament when it comes to race.
According to Politifact, which drew on multiple outlets as sources, Biden did claim that Trump had a record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering around the time Trump announced the travel restrictions.
According to CNN, Bidens remarks were targeted at what he perceived as Trumps general racism, and made at a campaign stop, when he was not yet aware of the travel restrictions.
Conservative outlet The National Review disagreed, however, tying Bidens statement, as well as a concurrent tweet from the campaign, directly to Trumps travel policies.

Although the visa application had been submitted just before the ban was announced, it took more than a year to be processed â before it was finally rejected.
Her son is now three-and-a-half and her mother still hasnât been able to visit.
Raising a new baby without the support of her mother left Ms Mahdavi â who had postpartum depression â feeling alone and desperate.

Coronavirus: Us Travel Ban On 26 European Countries Comes Into Force
President Donald Trumpâs travel ban on 26 European nations has come into force in the US, as part of a contingency plan to tackle the coronavirus crisis.
The ban applies to non-Americans who have been in the Schengen border-free travel area within 14 days of travelling to the US.
People travelling from the UK and the Republic of Ireland are exempt, as are returning US citizens.
There are nearly 2,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the US, and 43 deaths.
Mr Trump also declared a national emergency, freeing up to $50bn in relief funds.
Mr Trumpâs administration has faced criticism for its failure to provide Americans with widespread coronavirus testing.
In other developments on Saturday:

The Biden Administration Travel Orders
Despite promises during the campaign to overturn many of the Trump administrations immigration rulings, President Joe Bidens administration has maintained many of its COVID-related travel rules. Large-scale travel restrictions on China, Iran, Europe , the UK, Ireland, and Brazil remain in force. President Biden re-implemented these travel restrictions on January 25, 2021 through three presidential proclamations, and on the same day, added South Africa to the list of restricted countries. On April 30, 2021, the administration issued another presidential proclamation in which he implemented travel restrictions on India notably, these travel restrictions applied only to nonimmigrants. The implications of these travel bans are wide-ranging they have left nonimmigrant visa holders stranded abroad, with little idea of when they will be able to re-enter the country, and have also kept current nonimmigrant visa holders from leaving the United States for fear that they will not be let back in.
In addition to these travel bans, the Biden administration announced that the land borders with Canada and Mexico will remain closed for non-essential travel at least through September 21, despite an announcement by Canada that it will allow fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and permanent residents into the country beginning August 9. The Biden administration has continued these Trump-era rules on a monthly basis since taking office.

Trump Bans Travel From China Orders 1st Quarantine In 50 Years
President Donald Trump has taken tough steps to protect Americans from the spread of the coronavirus rampaging through China.
In an order issued Friday, federal officials announced that as of 5 p.m. Sunday, Foreign nationals other than immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents who have traveled in China in the last 14 days will be denied entry into United States.
American citizens returning the U.S. from areas in China where they may have been exposed to the virus will be quarantined, while others coming from the rest of China will be screened for the virus.
Earlier Friday, officials said Americans who evacuated from Wuhan earlier in the week would be quarantined for up to 14 days at March Air Reserve Base in California the first mandatory quarantine order in the U.S. in 50 years, according to NPR.
As of Saturday, about 250 had died from the virus and about 12,000 infections had been confirmed, according to The New York Times. No deaths have been reported outside of China.
Eight cases of the virus have been confirmed in the United States.
The eighth case was reported Saturday in Massachusetts. According to the Boston Herald, the man infected had been in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the virus. The other cases have been reported in California, Arizona, Washington state and Illinois.

Delayed Travel Restrictions From China Failed To Contain The Coronavirus
By the time President Trump started implementing U.S. travel restrictions from China on February 2, nearly 40 countries had already enforced travel restrictions. The Marshall Islands was the first country to implement restrictions on all travelers coming from or traveling through China, on January 24. Anyone wishing to enter was required to spend at least fourteen days in a country not affected by the coronavirus prior to arriving in the Marshall Islands. Thirty-eight countries banned travel, barred noncitizens or canceled all flights from China before or on the same date as the United States, and 12 additional countries enforced a travel policy but with less restrictive policies, such as suspending visas.*
Because of Trumps late response, more than 430,000 people came to the United States from China after Chinese officials notified the U.S. administration of the seriousness of the Wuhan outbreaknearly 40,000 of whom arrived after Trumps restrictions went into effect.
