How To Watch Trump Speech: Time Live Stream For Cpac Remarks

Former President Donald Trump will close out the third day of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Saturdayalmost a year after he used the event to tease another presidential campaign.

Trump has maintained his hold on the GOP since leaving the Oval Office and has asserted himself as the leader of the party, potentially paving the way for a White House bid if he decides to run again. Speakers who took to the CPAC stage over the weekend were predominantly Trump allies, aligning themselves with the former president’s view over the country’s future.

Trump, who led a straw poll of CPAC attendees last year, will be the final speaker of Saturday’s events event and is expected to take the stage on Saturday at 7 p.m ET. His speech will be live streamed on Fox Nation, Fox News‘ on-demand streaming platform CPAC’s website and the Right Side Broadcasting channel. C-SPAN will also carry Trump’s remarks.

Trump will likely lambast President Joe Biden for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In an interview last week, the former president said that he “always knew” Russian President Vladimir Putin had his eye on Ukraine and that the two leaders discussed it multiple times. Trump said he squashed the idea of Russia invading Ukraine, telling the Russian president he “can’t” do it, even though it was clear he wanted to.

Trump Returns To Dc This Week These Former Advisers Are Plotting The Comeback

The former president is going to appear at his allied think tank, which is outlining a vision that could, if all goes to plan, serve as a platform for a future administration.

At the beginning of 2020, a small group of President Donald Trumps top advisers huddled at the White House to craft a second-term policy agenda for the next administration.

Brooke Rollins, the domestic policy adviser, Larry Kudlow, Trumps top economic adviser, and Robert OBrien, Trumps national security adviser, initially teamed up, sometimes working from white boards in the West Wing. They were joined at times by Ivanka Trump, Kellyanne Conway and Russ Vought, Trumps Office of Management and Budget director, along with various policy aides.

But the plans were for naught. Trump lost the election. Vision 2025 was never released. The retreat was canceled.

Rollins, Kudlow and others havent discarded their project, though. Instead, they turned it into a blueprint for a new non-profit, the America First Policy Institute, often described as a White House in waiting.

And now, theyre taking on another task: turning that White House-in-waiting into an actual forward-looking platform for a movement, led by Trump, who famously cant get over the past.

Is Trumps Coming To Michigan Controversial

House Democrats Try to Impeach Trump a Second Time

It is. And heres why: Trumps endorsement of DePerno and Karamo comes ahead of an April 23 endorsement convention where the state Republican Party delegates will begin formally nominating candidates for down-ballot races, including attorney general and secretary of state. The nominees for other races, like governor or congressional seats, will be selected by the voters themselves during the Aug. 2 primary. And its not only Trump who has made endorsements, but also state party co-chair Meshawn Maddock, a staunch Trump supporter who is expected to be at the rally.

Taken together, that has quite a few Republicans either privately or publicly upset. Party leaders and officials typically dont make endorsements ahead of primaries or the partys selection, not wanting to make it seem as though they are trying to dictate an outcome. In the case of DePerno and Karamo, some Republicans are making the case that their pro-Trump stances are extreme to a point where more mainstream voters will reject them. That could keep the party from winning in what is otherwise expected to be a favorable year.

Pm: Finchem Promises Changes To Voting If Elected Secretary Of State

State Rep. Mark Finchems walk-on music at the Mesa rally was the theme from “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” To further his Western bona fides, and to take a swipe at East Coast commentators who mock his western vibe, Finchem wore his cowboy hat and sported his Sunday Go-To Meeting Tie.

He launched into his familiar attack on his Democratic opponent for secretary of state, Adrian Fontes, from Fontes missteps during the 2020 Democratic presidential preference election to his support of all-mail voting to policy changes that were slapped down by court rulings.

Just follow the law is his campaign mantra, and he said he will stick to the rules.

As secretary of state, Finchem said he will push for post-election audits in all 15 counties and disconnect Arizona from ERIC, the Electronic Registration Information Center, which shares voter information among states to ensure there is not double voting.

Trump Hints At 2024 Ambitions If Hints Are $90 Million In The Bank And Two Advisers From Iowa

Although Trump talked briefly about electing Republicans to Congress next year, his speech sounded more like that of a candidate seeking another run at the presidency in 2024.

We will quickly complete the border wall and we will end illegal immigration once and for all, he said, running through a list of promises. We will have to start it all over again it would have been so much better if we had an honest election, but well be able to do it again.

At one point, he speculated about Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia gubernatorial candidate, running for president.

Lets run against Stacey Abrams, Id like that, he said.

Trump has left open the door to trying to reclaim the White House, though he hasnt made any official declarations. According to the Washington Post, Trump was eager to announce his 2024 candidacy in August as the American withdrawal from Afghanistan turned chaotic. Advisers talked him out of it with how a formally declared candidacy introduces new rules about fundraising and media appearances, according to the Post.

Trump never left the political arena, even as he boarded Marine One to leave the White House shortly before Bidens inauguration in January. He had already launched a political action committee, dubbed Save America, soon after it was clear Biden won the electoral college in November.

Will Donald Trump Go Back On To Twitter

Donald Trump was fiercely critical of Twitter when he was banned, supposedly for life.

After the Capitol Hill riots Twitter said the permanent suspension was “due to the risk of further incitement of violence”.

Mr Trump even sued Twitter, about what he described as “censorship”.

However that “permanent” suspension now looks a lot less certain.

Elon Musk tweeted that he would introduce a “council’ that would take a decision on whether Donald Trump would be allowed back.

But if Mr Trump is invited back on to the platform, you might think it would be a no-brainer for him to make a return.

After all, just like Elon Musk, Donald Trump loves Twitter. For Mr Trump it was his way of connecting directly with voters, bypassing the traditional media.

Ironically, it was also a way of getting attention from the media he claimed to shun. “He’s tweeted” was a regular refrain across the world’s newsrooms.

But times have changed. There are now several reasons why Mr Trump may not come running back to Twitter.

Firstly he now owns and runs his own social media company, known as “Truth Social”.

It looks almost exactly like Twitter – and allows people to post “Truths”. It’s owned by Mr Trump – so he has a direct financial interest in the success of the company.

And by far the biggest asset that Truth Social has is Donald Trump.

Donald Trump won’t get paid a cent for tweeting on Twitter. He could benefit hugely if Truth Social becomes a major social media platform though.

Trump Speech Missing Several Of His Favorite Talking Points

Shannon Pettypiece

While President Trump launched attack after attack on Joe Biden, he left out a number of his favorite topics of criticism in his acceptance speech.

He made no mention of mail-in voting, which he has alleged, without evidence, will lead to widespread voter fraud and could prevent the country from ever knowing the result of the election. There is no evidence that mail-in voting is at risk for fraud.

Trump also avoided bringing up Bidens son Hunter, a line of attack his campaign believed at one point would be central to their takedown of Biden. He also made no mention of Bidens running mate Kamala Harris, who his campaign has struggled to find an effective way to criticize.

With protests raging outside the White House gates and in Wisconsin over racial injustice, Trump made only a passing mention of race and there was no mention of racism.
