Donald Trumps Approval Rating Hit Seven Month High After Election Loss
President Donald Trumps approval rating reached a seven-month high in the wake of his election defeat to President-Elect Joe Biden and his ongoing refusal to concede the contest to his Democratic rival.
According to the FiveThirtyEight presidential approval rating tracker, Trump hit an average approval rating of 45 percent on Wednesday last weeka 5-point increase on his July low of around 40 percent.
At the same time, Trumps November 11 disapproval rating stood at 52 percent, a fall of 4 points on July that put his net disapproval rating at 7 percentage points.
President Trumps approval rating last reached 45 percent in was a little more than seven months ago, with his average backing reaching 45.4 percent on April 7, according to the FiveThirtyEight tracker.
However, his net disapproval rating was slightly better than it stood on Wednesday last week, with 49.7 percent saying they disapproved of the presidents performance on April 7giving the commander-in-chief a 5-point net disapproval rating.
Approval polling conducted by Rasmussen Reports on November 13 showed Trump had a net-positive approval rating of 5 percentage points. Fifty-two percent of those surveyed said they approved of Trump 10 days after Election Day, while 47 percent said they disapproved.
Who Was The Lowest Polled Us President
The Roper Center, an organization focused on public opinion research at Cornell University, cumulated polling highs and lows for 15 presidents, starting with former President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was elected in 1942.
Among those 15 presidents, the president who has had the lowest approval rating is former President George W. Bush, with a 19% rating in a survey carried out by the American Research Group in 2008.
Here are the six other presidents with the lowest approval ratings following Bush:
- Harry S. Truman polled at 22% in 1952.
- In 1974, Richard Nixon had a 23% rating.
- Jimmy Carter polled at 28% five years later.
- In January 2021, Trump had a 29% approval rating.
- George H.W. Bush polled the same as Trump in 1992.
- Biden makes the list with his 33% rating.

Bidens Job Rating Is Similar To Trumps But Lower Than That Of Other Recent Presidents
Nearly two years into his presidency, Joe Bidens job rating stands at 38% identical to Donald Trumps approval rating at a similar point in his presidency, but lower than those of some other recent presidents in the run-up to their first midterm election.
The trajectory of presidential job approval differs for each White House occupant. Biden began his presidency with majority approval: In March 2021, 54% of Americans approved of Bidens job performance, and his rating rose to 59% a month later. But his popularity declined sharply last summer and has been in the low 40s or high 30s since then.
By contrast, Trumps job rating remained remarkably stable during his first two years in office and well after that. In fact, until his job approval fell dramatically following the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, roughly four-in-ten Americans consistently approved of Trumps job performance. In October 2018, close to two years after Trump was elected, 38% approved of how he was handling his job as president.
Bidens job rating is fairly comparable to Ronald Reagans and Bill Clintons at this stage of their presidencies, but lower than Barack Obamas . Those three presidents like Biden lost ground over their first two years in office.

When former-President Trump left office, his disapproval rate stood at fifty-seven percent, with 38.6 percent of the public supporting him. The highest approval rating Trump had while in office was in In April, Congress passed the CARES Act which distributed the first round of stimulus checks and bolstered unemployment benefits for the more than twenty-million workers who lost their jobs.
However, a few short months later, Donald Trumps approval rating took a nose dive to its lowest point in his presidency as he left office in part as a result of the events on January 6th.

When former-president Obama was elected, he entered office with a historic approval rating of sixty-four percent. However, with the impacts of the financial crisis led this level of support to began to fall. Aside from a few peaks in popularity, the majority of Obamas term, the disapproval rate was above fifty percent. However, unlike Donald Trump, he left office with a net positive approval rate.

How Joe Biden’s Approval Rating Compares To Trump’s 2 Weeks Before Midterms
Despite a notable upswing since this summer, President Joe Biden‘s approval rating is still in negative territory with just two weeks to go until the crucial midterm elections.
Biden’s approval rating is slightly lower than former President Donald Trump‘s approval rating at the same stage in 2018 when his party lost control of the House of Representatives.
The president’s approval rating was 41.8 percent as of October 25, according to analysis from poll tracker FiveThirtyEight, while his disapproval rating stood at 53.4 percent.
The midterm elections are set for November 8, but Biden’s approval rating is likely to be only one factor in voters’ intentions as Americans remain concerned about inflation, abortion rights, the war in Ukraine and other matters.
Trump had a slightly higher approval rating at the same point during the 2018 midterms, which took place on November 6 of that year. On October 24, 2018, the former president had an approval rating of 42.8 percent.
His disapproval at the time stood at 52 percent – meaning Biden’s poll numbers are in worse shape than Trump’s at the same stage of the last midterm election cycle.
Democrats took control of the House of Representatives in 2018 but Republicans retained control of the Senate. Recent polls have suggested a similar result this year with the parties’ positions reversed but conditions for Democrats seem to have deteriorated in recent days.

Tarnished by last weeks riot at the Capitol, Donald Trump is ending his presidency with his lowest-ever poll numbers.
A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll pegs Trumps approval at just 34 percent, the lowest in four years of tracking opinions of the presidents job performance. More than six in 10 voters 63 percent disapprove.
That matches other polls conducted over the past week showing Trumps approval rating sliding roughly 10 points following the Capitol riots which Democrats and some Republicans say Trump incited with his false and bellicose rhetoric about the 2020 presidential election.
For nearly four years, Trumps approval ratings have been extraordinarily stable, ranging between the high 30s and high 40s. Trumps denial of the election results and the sacking of the Capitol, however, have managed to do what a failed effort to repeal Obamacare, the white-supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Va., impeachment and other scandals couldnt: erode his once-durable support to new lows.
The drop among independents was similar: Fewer than three in 10 independent voters now approve of Trump 29 percent, down from 38 percent in December.

Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Plunges To Lowest Point In Over A Year: Poll
Donald Trump’s positive approval rating is at its lowest point in more than a year, whereas President Joe Biden is seeing his highest score in months, according to a poll.
A survey released by NBC News found that Trump currently has a 54 percent negative approval rating, with a 34 percent positive approval.
Trump had the same 54 percent negative approval rating in an August NBC News poll, but with a slightly higher positive approval of 36 percent.
In comparison, Trump also had a 36 percent positive approval rating in May and March 2022, 37 percent in January 2022, and 38 percent in August and October 2021.
The former president’s overall favorability rating of 54 percent positive and 34 percent negative has not been as low since an April 2021 NBC poll, when he recorded 55 percent negative and 32 percent positive numbers.
The poll also found that while Biden’s overall approval rating is still underwater, he is currently seeing the highest positive score in nearly a year.
Biden’s latest NBC favorability rating has him at 45 percent positiveup 3 points from last month and the highest it has been since October 2021and 52 percent negative.
Elsewhere, the poll revealed that voters are currently split when asked who they back in the midterms, with the GOP and Democrat Party at 46 percent when voters asked who they believe should control Congress.

Facing heat from several quarters, US President Joe Bidens popularity has dipped spectacularly. Now, his approval ratings have taken a tumble as well. Reportedly, Bidens current approval ratings fare lower than what his infamous predecessor, Donald Trump, ever managed to achieve during his four tumultuous years in the office, where he was impeached twice.
The poll conducted by CNN shows that Bidens approval rating stood at 38 per cent while 62 per cent disapproved of his presidentship. On the economic front, Biden has an approval rating of only 30 per cent. The figures become grim when one notes that Trumps lowest economic approval rating was 41 per cent which came way back in 2018.
Moreover, ahead of the midterms, the swing states havent been kind to Biden either. His net approval ratings in Ohio , Arizona , Wisconsin and Pennsylvania paint a grim picture and suggest that the battle may be uphill.
Democrats starting to lose confidence
While the palpable public anger is understandable, it appears that Biden is also losing the confidence of his colleagues. Reportedly, the Presidents approval rating for the handling of the economy has dwindled from 71 per cent, earlier this year to 62 per cent amongst the Democrats in the recent survey.

Biden Harris Best Trump On Favorability Scale
While the poll finds Trump’s personal favorability ratings underwater, the Democrats heading to the White House fare better.
Biden has a net favorability rating of +4 , while Vice President-elect Kamala Harris has a net rating of +0 .
That’s compared with Trump’s net personal rating of -13 .
Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, has a personal favorability rating of +14 . Notably, however, a majority of Republicans 59 percent give her a negative rating, a particularly high marker of antipathy for an incoming first lady from members of the opposing party.
Before Obama’s inauguration, 33 percent of Republicans gave Michelle Obama a negative personal rating. And before Trump’s inauguration, 44 percent of Democrats gave Melania Trump a similarly poor grade.
The NBC News poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted Jan. 10-13, 2021, by the Republican firm Public Opinion Strategies and the Democratic firm Hart Research. The margin of error for registered voters is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
Trumps Run Of 2022 Losses
While he was persona non grata during the Senate runoff, Trump did call into a Georgia tele-rally on Monday night only when it was probable that he could do no damage given that nearly 2 million Georgians voted early.
A vote for Raphael Warnock is a vote to give Chuck Schumer and the unhinged far-left Democrats total control of the United States Senate. We cant let this happen, Trump said in the short appearance.
But if Walker loses on Tuesday, Trumps poor record in many of the midterm election races that matter in 2022 will be complete and there will be a strong case that after embracing weak candidates in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Arizona, he once again cost the Republican Party control of the Senate.
Walker, for example, has denied several reports that he pressured or encouraged women into having abortions despite previously saying on the campaign trail that he supported a ban on the procedure with no exceptions. CNNs KFile raised new doubts about Walkers residency when it revealed hes getting a tax break intended only for a primary residence this year on his home in the Dallas, Texas, area. KFile also reported that Walker described himself as living in Texas during a speech during the 2022 campaign. And Walkers bizarre comments like a recent discourse on whether it was better to be a werewolf or a vampire raised questions about his fitness for office.
But Trump really needs Walker to come through on Tuesday.

Real Clear Politics Trump Approval Rating: 408 Percent
In mid-September, Real Clear Politicswhich tracks numerous polls to find an averagefound the president to have a 40.8 percent approval rating, compared to 53.6 percent who disapproved of him.
The number was a downturn for Trump, who Real Clear Politics found had a 42.9 percent approval rating in mid-July, a notch higher than his 42.4 percent approval rating the month before.
The website found that the presidents approval rating has been declining since late August, amid criticism of his handling of Sen. John McCains death and guilty pleas by his former lawyer Michael Cohen and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
Poll: Donald Trump Ends Presidency With Lowest Approval Rating
President Donald Trump will leave office with the lowest approval rating of his presidency, according to a Pew Research poll.
The poll conducted from January 8-12 shows Trump currently has a 29 percent approval rating.
The Pew poll differs sharply from a Rasmussen poll released Friday showing the president still holds an approval rating of 48 percent.
The Pew poll shows 68 percent of Americans disapprove of Trumps performance after the riots on Capitol Hill, up nine points.
In August, the Pew poll showed Trump had a 38 percent favorable approval rating and in June he had a 39 percent rating. Trumps highest rating in the Pew poll was at 45 percent in March 2020.
Since August, the president has suffered a 17-point decline in approval from Republicans and Republican-leaning individuals in the poll.
The poll shows Trumps approval ratings among Republicans going from a record high of 85 percent in 2020 to the current 60 percent approval rating, a decline of 25 points.

The riots on Capitol Hill appear to have damaged Trumps approval ratings.
Fifty-two percent say Trump should bear a lot of the blame after his supporters stormed Capitol Hill last week but 47 percent of respondents say that the president deserved a little of the blame or nothing at all.
A wide majority of Americans in the poll also do not want to see Trump continue as a major political figure in the future.
