Trumps comments were ridiculous, but as usual his deranged critics went even further overboard with their denunciations.
Donald Trumps Achilles heel is his own narcissistic self-assurance, which translates into him always being right when he decides that he is. Which is always.
The 2020 election had plenty wrong with it. From media and Big Tech interference to bulk-mail balloting, it was not a fair election, even if most of the problems were arguably legal.
Trump, however, cemented in his own mind and in the minds of his most faithful followers that there was no possible way he could have lost the election. To this day, Trump has doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down on his claim that the election was rigged and stolen, though he and his legal team tended to focus on counting votes instead of the aforementioned real problems. Furthermore, any Republican or conservative who dares to question Trumps claim is immediately smeared as a RINO and part of the problem.
Trumps MO has long been to never admit defeat. While this may be a calculated tactic to show toughness for making business deals, it is not a characteristic of good leadership. Yes, there is a long line of leaders throughout history who shared this my way or the highway ethic, but most of them were tyrants who always placed their own interests ahead of the rights and needs of the people.

Can Congress Give Recipients Protection
The short answer is yes and unlike the DACA program, itd be permanent. But moving legislation during an election year will be challenging and the issue is likely to face an uphill battle in the Republican-controlled in Senate.
Its been a year since the US House of Representatives introduced and passed a bill that would in part provide a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients, but it hasnt come up for a vote in the Senate.
The measure, dubbed the Dream and Promise Act of 2019, provides some reprieve to so-called Dreamers by allowing those who qualify to gain lawful permanent resident status, which is usually out of the question for many undocumented immigrants who came to the US as minors.
Democrats and Republicans have been sympathetic to the hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as children, many of whom were under the age of 10. But the give and take between Democrats and Republicans over Dreamers has made it difficult to achieve a bipartisan compromise.
Trump may try to strike a deal, as he has in the past, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has already indicated shes unwilling to negotiate on certain points.
Our advocates for comprehensive immigration reform do not want us yielding on any of those points. We should have comprehensive immigration reform. We will move in that direction, Pelosi told reporters in early June. But we are not going to endanger families or have increased surveillance in our country.

Why Cant Daca Recipients Get Legal Status Through Other Means
Many undocumented immigrants who fall under this group are unable to obtain legal status on their own because they were either brought into the country illegally or they overstayed their visas. That often precludes them from becoming a lawful permanent resident because one of the requirements is having entered and resided in the country legally.

Thousands of people could lose their jobs if the DACA program is rescinded permanently and completely, according to a study by the left-leaning think tank, the Center for American Progress.

Sessions Announces End To Daca Immigration Program
Trump hopes to see Congress act on a multi-pronged approach to immigration policy, Sanders said Tuesday, including taking steps to control the border, improve vetting and immigration security, and protect American workers.

Supreme Court Again Confronts Trumps Authority This Time Over Daca Recipients
The Supreme Court on Tuesday will once again review a controversial policy initiated by President Trump and blocked by lower courts, this time ahead of an election year and with the fate of nearly 700,000 dreamers brought to the United States as undocumented children hanging on the outcome.
The Trump administration has tried for more than two years to wind down the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, announced by President Barack Obama in 2012 to protect from deportation qualified young immigrants who came to the country illegally.
Individual DACA recipients, giant corporations, civil rights groups and universities have challenged the administrations plans, and won. Lower courts have found that the administration relied on faulty legal analysis for ending the program, rather than providing lawful reasons that the courts and the public could evaluate.
Nearly 800,000 people over the years have participated in the program, which provides a chance for enrollees to work legally in the United States as long as they follow the rules and have a clean record. More than 90 percent of DACA recipients are employed and 45 percent are in school, according to one government study.
More than 140 companies filed a brief to show what Smith said was the serious harm that would be inflicted on the economy if we were to lose the contributions of Dreamers.

Whats It Mean For The Election
Immigration is a pillar of Trumps campaign platform and part of that includes his pledge to end the DACA program. The President had been banking on the Supreme Court, but the ruling now takes him back to square one. The decision also pits him directly against presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who was the vice president when the DACA program was established.

Delia Rodriguez hopes to someday become a social worker, but her undocumented status puts her at risk of deportation, potentially shattering that dream. Now, a bipartisan proposal at the federal level could change that.
My future is in the hands of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema and Thom Tillis. With their help, we can find a national solution that takes my life plans out of limbo and allows me to pursue my ambitions without fear and anxiety, she said, during an online news conference held to urge the senators to move the process forward.
The proposal, dubbed the Dream Act and headed by Sinema, an Arizona Democrat, and Sen. Tillis, R-North Carolina, is a last minute push to create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers before the start of the new Congressional session, when Democrats will lose control of the House and future attempts will prove more difficult. Negotiations for Dreamers, undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as minors, are still underway on what the final legislation will look like with three weeks left before the new session begins.

Its down to the wire for President Trump and Republican lawmakers to come up with a plan for the thousands of young, undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.
Trump met with lawmakers on Thursday to discuss what to do with the so-called Dreamers, especially after he announced last year that he was dismantling the Obama-era program that allowed for some protections for certain immigrants.
Were all working in an effort to develop an immigration reform plan that will serve the interests of the American workers and the American families and safety, Trump said at the start of Thursdays meeting, which was attended by a handful of Republican senators, including John Cornyn of Texas, Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
The Trump administration officially announced its plan to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program which provides a level of amnesty to certain undocumented immigrants, many of whom came to the U.S. as children with a six-month delay for current recipients in 2017.
With the delay, the solution for protecting young immigrants from deportation was punted to Congress and Republicans and Democrats are both pushing for different things.
