I had and did end up going to the Jeep dealer BUT !!!! If you don’t watch what your trying to do yourself you CAN LOOSE the original setting on what you have and get a toatal on both your original set and your new found one OR !!! Program your old original one to the setting on the new found one . I took the RIP OFF and just had them do it . They did it in about 60 seconds . Not sure if they just set pin switcheds or use a electrical machine / computer to reset it all ? But at least I now have key fobs and for that vehicle . I have a hardware made key hidden in a magnetic boX on the frame just incase I lock my chip imbedded set inside some how with all these fancy door lock settings etc . When i get a new car or truck I always get a new key made then stick it in my wallet. No need for the fancy electronic key. Open the door then use fancy key you locked inside to start car and alarm will not go off.Bill D.PS My brother told me Ford can make a new key if you lose the elctronic one but they have no record so they have machine to try all possible combinations cost about $200 may take 2-3 days depending on how long the combination search lasts.
