Biden Campaign Launches Turnout Effort Targeting Lgbtq Voters

Joe Bidens presidential campaign on Monday announced the launch of a robust get-out-the-vote effort targeting LGBTQ voters.

The effort, called, Out for Biden, will be aimed at turning out a record number of LGBTQ voters in November by fostering relationships with pro-equality partners to register and mobilize LGBTQ+ voters around the country, with an emphasis on key battleground states, the campaign said in a statement.

Our campaigns decision to launch Out for Biden in the shadow of historic protest elevates the power of the moment and encourages deep and sometimes difficult dialogue within our LGBTQ+ community as Pride month begins, said Reggie Greer, the Biden campaigns LGBTQ+ vote director. LGBTQ+ people of color are central to the fabric of our communities. We must elect a government that will center their voices and celebrate the contributions of LGBTQ+ people everywhere, Greer added.

President Trump Hits Highest Approval Rating In History

President Donald Trump has hit his highest approval rating ever, according to two Wall Street Journal and NBC polls.

Despite the relentless negative mainstream media coverage, Trumps approval rating with the American public continues to soar to historic levels.

In the same week Trump was falsley accused of treason by hysterical left-wing journalists and Democrats, Trumps approval rating moved up another 3 points.

The more Trump gets criticized by the media, the more his base seems to rally behind him, one Democratic pollster told NBC.

Information Liberation reports: This is what getting BTFOd looks like:

Trump hasnt even begun to fight back. He told Tucker Carlson last week hes open to declassifying evidence of the deep states crimes in the coming months .

NBC Snooze and the War Street Journal both decided to bury the lead in their coverage of their own poll.

NBC:

WSJ:

Regardless, here some of the highlights from NBC News:

the new NBC/WSJ poll finds the presidents approval rating among Republican voters at 88 percent the highest of his presidency and 29 percent of all voters strongly approve of his job, which is another high for Trump in the poll.

And 50 percent of voters support Trumps handling of the economy, which is up 8 points from October.

Note, the economy is the top issue going into midterms:

A month ago, the top combined responses were health care , the economy and jobs , guns and taxes and spending .

Polls Put Trumps Approval Rating Lower

Donald Trumps Approval Rating Right Now

Despite the recent decline in Biden’s approval, Trump’s ratings were lower during his time in office.

“Biden’s approval rating has clearly taken a turn for the worse in the past several weeks, but he is still faring better than Trump at this point in their presidencies,” Burden said. “Trump had one of the lowest and steadiest approval ratings of any modern president.”

FiveThirtyEight put the polling average for Trump’s approval rating at 38.8% on Sept. 9, 2017, his first year in office. The lowest point of his term came on Dec. 16, 2017, with an average approval rate of 36.4%.

This claim is also wrong looking only at the YouGov poll.

YouGov reported Trumps approval rating never increased far above 40% and reached a term low of 34% in a poll conducted Nov. 10-14, 2017.

In other words, Trump’s low is well below Biden’s current level in YouGov polling.

According to Gallup, Trumps approval rating ranged between 34% and 49% over the course of his presidency. Trump hit the lower end of that range in January, following the insurrection at the Capitol.

Donald Trumps Approval Rating Reaches Highest Point Since 2017 As Administration Battles Coronavirus New Poll Shows

President Donald Trumps approval rating reached its highest point in three years Tuesday as his administration continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new poll.

The CNN poll conducted by SSRS, an independent research company, found that 45 percent of respondents approve of the way Trump is handling his job, while 51 percent disapprove and 4 percent had no opinion. The poll surveyed 1,112 people and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percent.

Trumps approval rating has hit 45 percent only one other time during his presidency, and that was less than two months after he took office in 2017. That poll showed the president had a 45 percent approval rating, with 52 percent disapproving, on March 5, 2017.

The new CNN poll showed that 42 percent of people believe the federal government is doing a good job at preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus in the United States. That rating is down from a CNN poll result in early March, in which 49 percent said the federal government was doing a good job in combating the pandemic while 43 percent said it was doing a poor job.

The U.S. now has over 1.35 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus, with 81,650 deaths reported, according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center. So far, 232,733 people have recovered from the viruss disease, COVID-19.

According to this weeks poll, Mr Bidens net approval rating is a dismal minus nine points. Although this is better than Mr Trumps score of -15 at this point in his presidency, it is far below Mr Obamas plus six. And support for Mr Biden is deteriorating rapidly. His net approval rating has fallen by more than ten points since his 200th day in office, just over two months ago. Mr Obamas fell by only four, and Mr Trumps by just one, over the corresponding period .

It is hard to know exactly what accounts for the slump. Some pin the blame on the surge in covid-19 cases and deaths over the summer, fuelled by the highly contagious Delta variant. After all, voters elected Mr Biden in large part because he was seen as better equipped than Mr Trump to tackle the pandemic. Others think Democrats have become disaffected with the president because he has failed to pass key parts of his agenda, including a bipartisan infrastructure bill and a multi-trillion-dollar social-spending package, which would fund health care, education, climate change and other progressive priorities.

Voters Were Asked Whether They Approve Or Disapprove Of President Joe Bidens Job Performance

Bidens weakest job approval rating
  • The latest survey found that 58% of voters disapprove of Bidens job performance and 39% approve. It marks the 46th presidents lowest approval rating and highest disapproval rating in 62 weekly surveys conducted since he took office in January 2021.
  • For comparison, Bidens latest numbers are worse than Donald Trumps were at this time four years ago, when 45% approved and 52% disapproved of the former president. Bidens popularity, or lack thereof, mirrors Trumps standing in 2020, when the nation was grappling with the twin crises of the pandemic and the response to the murder of George Floyd.
  • Republicans are far more strident in their disdain for Biden than Democrats are in their support: 80% of GOP voters strongly disapprove of Bidens job handling, compared with 37% of Democrats who strongly approve of it.
Unpopular presidents cost their parties in midterms

Bidens diminishing standing should be alarming to Democrats working to hold control of Congress in the midterm elections this fall. While Bidens decline has not yet dragged down approval for most Democratic incumbents on the Senate side of the aisle, studies have shown an increasing association between a partys House performance and their presidents job approval rating.

Trump Gets His Best Rating Ever On Guns Its Still Bad

President Donald Trumps Approval Ratings Since His 2015 Announcement | NBC News Now

Trump has generally dragged his feet when it comes to gun control. You might expect that to hurt him, given that Americans are in favor of stricter gun laws. Indeed, his approval rating on gun policy in our latest poll is only 38%.

Yet that 38% is actually the highest its ever been. Its a statistically insignificantly higher than the 36% it was last month and 5 points higher than he was at the beginning of the year.

I find that notable because gun control and Trumps mostly inaction on it has been in the news a lot recently, after mass shootings in Texas and Ohio. Despite that, his approval rating on the issue isnt going down.

Moreover, gun policy is the only issue on which Trumps approval actually went up over the last month.

While I wouldnt put too much on this, I do think its notable. It suggests perhaps that gun control isnt the driver of public opinion perhaps some Democrats hope it is heading into 2020.

Domestic Terrorism Is Seen As The Bigger Threat

With the 20-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks coming up this month, a plurality 44% thinks the country is less safe than it was before the attacks, while 30% say its safer and a quarter say about the same.

Politics is at play in this question as well. Two-thirds of Republicans said the U.S. is less safe.

Overall, more believe domestic terrorism 49% is a greater threat than international terrorism 41%.

Almost 7 in 10 Republicans said it was international terrorism, though, that was the bigger threat, while 7 in 10 Democrats said it was domestic terrorism.

Still, the overall number is a big shift from 2002 after 9/11 when by a 56%-to-30% margin in a CBS News poll, people said the opposite.

The survey of 1,241 adults was conducted Aug. 26 through Tuesday, via landline and mobile telephones. Survey questions were available in English and Spanish. The margin of error of the full sample was 3.8 percentage points. The margins of error for the subsets of Democrats, Republicans and independents were all larger.

President Trumps Approval Rating Higher Now Than When He Left Office

Trump approval ratings in key states look bad for 2020 reelection odds ...

President Donald Trumps approval ratings are higher now than when he left office, and theyre significantly higher than Joe Bidens.

According to a new Rasmussen poll released today, almost 9 in 10 Republicans and a majority of Americans give him a high approval rating.

Some 52% of voters told Rasmussen Reports that they have a favorable impression of the former president. Meanwhile, among Republicans, 85% have a favorable view of Trump, with 63% declaring a very favorable opinion. Even 23% of Democrats and 51% of independents have a positive view of the former president.

Rasussen has President Trump at 51% approval among Americans and 84% among Republicans meaning he has a slight improvement with both sets of voters.

Contrasted with Biden, Trump looks pretty good.

LifeNews is on GETTR. for the latest pro-life news

Rasmussen reported: Just 37% of voters believe Biden is really doing the job of president, while a majority think others are making decisions for him behind the scenes and another 10% are not sure. And just one-quarter of Americans think Joe Biden would win in 2024 if he decided to run for president again. Almost the same number of Americans think Biden will resign before 2024 even gets here.

Yesterday, Joe Bidens job disapprovals hit an all-time high in a new CNBC poll and USA Today has his approval rating at just 40%.

Even If It Were True 94 Percent Republican Approval Would Not Be A Record

Its not the case that Trumps approval rating among Republicans is 94 percent, but even if it were, it wouldnt be the record he claims.

As Politifact detailed in June, when Trump claimed during a news conference with then-British Prime Minister Theresa May that I have a 90 to 94 percent approval rating, as of this morning, in the Republican Party an all-time record, he was discounting George W. Bushs GOP approval rating in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, which hit 99 percent. In fact, Trumps Republican approval rating during his first 30 months in office lagged behind not just George W. Bush, but George H.W. Bush as well.

So Trumps claim is a lie about a lie. But that sort of thing is par for the course for him.

Trumps Approval Rating Craters In Final Days

After four years of stability, the outgoing presidents poll numbers have reached new lows following last weeks Capitol insurrection.

President Donald Trumps slide means he will leave the Oval Office historically unpopular compared with most of his predecessors.

01/13/2021 06:00 AM EST

  • Link Copied

Tarnished by last weeks riot at the Capitol, Donald Trump is ending his presidency with his lowest-ever poll numbers.

A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll pegs Trumps approval at just 34 percent, the lowest in four years of tracking opinions of the presidents job performance. More than six in 10 voters 63 percent disapprove.

That matches other polls conducted over the past week showing Trumps approval rating sliding roughly 10 points following the Capitol riots which Democrats and some Republicans say Trump incited with his false and bellicose rhetoric about the 2020 presidential election.

For nearly four years, Trumps approval ratings have been extraordinarily stable, ranging between the high 30s and high 40s. Trumps denial of the election results and the sacking of the Capitol, however, have managed to do what a failed effort to repeal Obamacare, the white-supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Va., impeachment and other scandals couldnt: erode his once-durable support to new lows.

The drop among independents was similar: Fewer than three in 10 independent voters now approve of Trump 29 percent, down from 38 percent in December.

The Big Enthusiasm Gap Against Trump

Beyond the topline of Trumps approval rating, CNN also asked how strongly Americans approved or disapproved of Trumps job performance. The percentage who moderately approve is similar to the percentage who moderately disapprove .

The real nugget is that the 45% who strongly disapprove is significantly higher than the 28% who strongly approve. That 17-point gap is wider than the 7-point gap we found in April of this year.

Whats so interesting about that is some form of enthusiasm gap on approval exists across age, gender, race and even education levels.

Now, its not unusual for there to be an enthusiasm gap in which more people strongly disapprove than strongly approve of a president. We saw it with George W. Bush and Barack Obama at roughly this point in their presidencies.

The difference is that Trumps is much larger. Obamas strongly disapprove rating in CNN polling was never more than 10 points higher than his strongly approve rating through his first three years in office. The same held true with Bush.

Coming into 2020, its easy to imagine that Trump may lack the enthusiastic supporters he will likely need to overcome what looks to be an unpopular standing overall.

By Annie Karni

Throughout four years of scandals and investigations, President Trump has maintained an approval rating that rarely budged from a 10-point band between 35 and 45 percent. Nothing he could say, do or tweet appeared to dramatically change public opinion of him.
