Former President Trump To Hold Rally In Des Moines Saturday Heres The Details
DES MOINES, Iowa Former President Donald Trump will hold a rally at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines on Saturday.
Itll be the first time he has returned to Iowa since the 2020 election.
According to his website, Trumps Save America rally will feature live entertainment that begins at 2 p.m., with his speech expected to begin at 7 p.m.

The latest Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa poll shows the former presidents favorability among Iowans is now higher than it ever was while he was president.
Former Vice President Mike Pence will also visit Iowa, during an event at the University of Iowa on November 1.

Former President Donald J. Trump held a Fourth of July-themed rally on Saturday night in Sarasota, Fla., across the state from where a tragedy has been unfolding for more than a week as firefighters, search dogs and emergency crews search for survivors in the collapse of a residential building just north of Miami Beach.
The political rally in the midst of a disaster that has horrified the nation became a topic of discussion among aides to the former president and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, a Trump ally whose growing popularity with the former presidents supporters is becoming an increasing source of tension for both men, according to people familiar with their thinking.
After officials from the governors office surveyed the scene of the condominium collapse in Surfside, Fla., Adrian Lukis, chief of staff to the governor, called Michael Glassner, a longtime Trump aide who is overseeing the Florida event, according to people familiar with the discussion. In a brief conversation, Mr. Lukis inquired whether the former president planned to continue with the event given the scale of the tragedy, two people said.
What To Watch For
How Trump continues to tease a 2024 run. In an interview with the Daily Wire, an online conservative outlet, earlier this month, Trump said his supporters will be very happy with his decision about whether to run again in 2024. I look forward to doing an announcement at the right time, Trump told Daily Wire host Candace Owens. As you know, its very early. But I think people are going to be very, very happy when I make a certain announcement. You know, for campaign finance reasons, you really cant do it too early because it becomes a whole different thing.

Democratic senators are pressing Judge Amy Coney Barrett to promise to sit out any Supreme Court election dispute between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.
Barrett has eluded their requests and made no commitment. Yet with controversies over state ballot practices escalating and the possibility of a replay of the 2000 Bush v. Gore ordeal in the air, the topic is sure to surface at Barrett’s Senate confirmation hearings next week.
Trump has pointed to the Nov. 3 election as a reason for seeking swift Senate confirmation of Barrett, a federal appeals court judge who would be his third appointee to the nine-member bench. The Republican incumbent has said he believes the Supreme Court could ultimately decide whether he is the victor over Biden.
Confirmation hearings for Barrett, Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, are slated to begin Monday in the Senate Judiciary committee.
In a recent CNN poll, more than half of the Americans surveyed said they think Barrett should recuse herself from cases on the presidential election 34% said the opposite. Opinions divided largely by party: 82% of Democrats 53% of independents and 32% of Republicans said Barrett should promise to recuse herself from cases about the election.
As Democrats have pounded away at a possible conflict of interest for a Justice Barrett, law professors are divided on the issue.

Former President Donald Trump is hosting another Saturday night special.
Trumps Save America PAC announced Wednesday that the 45th president would hold the second of four planned campaign-style rallies July 3 in Sarasota, Fla., followed by a fireworks show to mark the Independence Day holiday.
The announcement noted that the rally would be co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida, Trumps home state.
Trump is scheduled to hold his first post-White House rally this coming Saturday in Wellington, Ohio. It will be the first time he addresses supporters in such a setting since the Jan. 6 Stop the Steal rally which precipitated the deadly riot at the US Capitol.
The Ohio rally is meant to boost the House campaign of former Trump adviser Max Miller, who is challenging GOP Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump on a single count of incitement of insurrection over the Capitol riot. In a February statement endorsing Miller, Trump said Gonzalez should not be representing the people of the 16th district because he does not represent their interest or their heart.

What Did Trump Say About The Sarasota Rally
In a statement a Trump spokesperson said: “President Donald J. Trump…will hold a major rally in Sarasota.”
“This Save America rally is co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida and marks President Trumps further support of the MAGA agenda and accomplishments of his administration.”
It will feature a “HUGE fireworks show to celebrate America following President Trump’s remarks to conclude a full day event commemorating our Great Country”, the statement adds.
Florida GOP Chair Joe Gruters told The Herald Tribune: “Its going to be an absolutely amazing event. Its going to include fireworks and a lot of other great things.
“Its going to be a very patriotic and exciting day and Im so thankful were going to be able to host him here.”

After a brief moment of silence for the victims and families of the tragedy as he took the stage, Mr. Trump quickly launched into a castigation of cancel culture and of the Biden administrations immigration policies.
He dismissed charges filed this week against his business, the Trump Organization, by the Manhattan district attorneys office as prosecutorial misconduct. And while he appeared to deny knowledge of any possible tax evasion on benefits, he also seemed to acknowledge that those benefits occurred.
You didnt pay tax on the car, or the company apartment, he said, adding, Or education for your grandchildren. I dont even know, do you have to put, does anyone know the answer to that stuff?

While Trump won Florida, Ohio and North Carolina in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, last year he became the first Republican candidate to lose Georgia in a presidential election since George H.W. Bush in 1992.
The former president has since cast aspersions on the conduct of Georgia election officials, including Republican secretary of state Brad Raffensperger, over his defeat and insisted without evidence that the loss was the result of voter fraud. Republicans went on to lose both of Georgias US Senate seats in a pair of special elections in January, handing Democrats full control of Congress and the White House.
Trump again refused to confirm Thursday whether he would run for president in 2024, saying only: Im gonna make a decision at the right time and Ill let you know.

SARASOTA, Fla. – Former President Donald Trump will be holding a rally at the Sarasota Fairgrounds on July 3. The event is free, but you must reserve tickets via his website.
The rally is co-sponsored by the Republican Party of Florida and Save America. The event will take place at 8 p.m., but doors open at 2 p.m.
You must register for tickets via this website. You may only register up to two tickets per mobile number per event. All tickets are subject to first-come, first-served basis. The fairgrounds are located at 3000 Ringling Blvd.
State Sen. Joe Gruters, who is also the chair of the Florida Republican Party, helped organize the event. In a press release, Gruters stated, This is where he started off his rallies in Florida in 2016, its where he ended his rallies in 2016. Hes coming back to a place that loves him and has always held him in high regard.
ABC7 reached out to the Sarasota Democratic Party to see if they had a comment or had any competing events planned. So far, no one from the organization has responded.

Ahead Of Trump Rally In Arizona Voters Share If They Want Former President To Run Again
Voters in Arizona shared whether they wanted Donald Trump to run in 2024 ahead of the former president’s Saturday rally in the Grand Canyon State.
“At this point, he’s a little too polarizing,” Susan, who was visiting Arizona from Florida with her husband, Jeff, said. “There are candidates out there Republican candidates, obviously that may be able to pull in people that he would lose.”
However, one Arizona woman, Beverly, told Fox News: “He needs to get back in, he already gained that respect from all the world leaders, and finish what he started.”
“I don’t think it’ll be best for our country for him to run for re-election,” Tanner, a college student from Arizona, said of Trump. “I think our Republican Party needs to be united.”
Jeff told Fox News: “I like what he stands for. I like what he does.”
“But he upset too many people, and he upset them really bad, so I don’t think he’s good for the party,” Jeff continued.
Most voters who spoke with Fox News said they preferred Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on the Republican ticket in 2024.
“I would like to see Gov. DeSantis, or someone like that, some new blood,” Derek told Fox News.
“We’re big fans of DeSantis on this one,” Susan said. “He seems to be a much more common senseand able to communicate better” and able “to get those people back that switched.”

Trump To Hold Rally In Florida Ahead Of Fourth Of July
Former President Donald Trump will attend a rally in Sarasota, Florida, on Saturday, in his second large campaign-style event since he lost the presidential election. His appearance comes after the Trump Organization and Allen Weisselberg, its chief financial officer, pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges in an alleged tax fraud scheme on Thursday.
Mr. Trump’s appearance in Florida also comes after the partial collapse of a condominium in Surfside, Florida, that killed at least 24 people and left more than 100 unaccounted for. According to a report last week by the Washington Examiner, a conservative outlet, Mr. Trump ignored pleas from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to postpone his rally in the wake of the disaster. However, the governor’s office denied that DeSantis wants to postpone the rally, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported.
DeSantis has been a staunch supporter of the former president, but he is also a potential rival for the Republican nomination in 2024. The Florida governor has gained popularity in the party for his response to the coronavirus pandemic and his outspokenness on ideological issues that resonate with Republican voters, such as support for restrictive voting measures and opposition to critical race theory. But DeSantis is toeing a fine line as he raises his own profile, as he will want Mr. Trump’s support for his reelection race as governor in 2022.

Trump Briefly Mentions Biden And Calls Him Sleepy Joe

Though he has repeatedly slammed Hillary Clinton tonight, President Trump made two brief references to 2020 rival Joe Biden in Orlando at his 2020 kickoff rally.
While touting the economy under his administration, Trump referenced former President Barack Obama’s “magic wand” comments regarding the GDP.
“Well tell Sleepy Joe that we found the magic wand. Sleepy guy,” he said, quickly moving on to the next portion of his speech.
He also made a passing reference to Biden earlier when he was talking about China.
“We have never taken in 10 cents from China. We would lose $500 billion a year with China. We rebuilt China. They have done a great job, but they took us for suckers. And that includes Obama and Biden. They took us for suckers,” Trump said.
He did not mention any of the other Democratic contenders by name.
Trump Polls Crowd On 2020 Slogan: Keep America Great Is The Clear Favorite

President Trump spent several minutes during his rally tonight musing about which slogan to pick for his 2020 campaign: Make America Great or Keep America Great.
So, in Trump fashion, he decided to poll the crowd and Keep America Great was the clear winner, based on cheers.
“My ear drums will never be the same,” Trump said after the cheers for Keep America Great rang out in Amway Center.
But before he polled the crowd, Trump laid out the stakes, making clear he is attached to the Make America Great Again slogan.
“How do you give up the greatest of all time?” Trump asked. “And if I lose people are going to say, ‘What a mistake that was!'”
