Its hard to believe the striking woman posing nude in the saucy photo below is Donald Trumps wife, Melania Trump.
Before she was busy being the Republican candidates mrs, the Slovenian-born model posed nude for a French mens magazine.

The steamy photo is of a 25-year-old Melania Knauss sporting high heels and nothing else on the cover of Max.
The Post got a hold of the rare images taken in Manhattan in 1995 photographed by French photographer Alé de Basseville.

Melania was super-great and a fantastic personality and she was very kind with me, de Basseville told The Post. Melania seemed very comfortable with the whole thing, and she was very professional, he added.
The sexy spread consisting of a series of front, back and side shot images, appeared in the 1996 issue of the now-defunct French mag, which aimed to celebrate the female body in all its glory.
I think it is important to show the beauty and the freedom of the woman, and I am very proud of these pictures because they celebrate Melanias beauty, the photographer said.
When asked about the racy photos, Trump told The Post: Melania was one of the most successful models and she did many photo shoots, including for covers and major magazines. This was a picture taken for a European magazine prior to my knowing Melania. In Europe, pictures like this are very fashionable and common.

What Melania Trump Says About Her Immigration Status
In September, Melania Trump tweeted out a letter, signed by lawyer Michael Wildes , testifying that hed looked over her immigration records and hadnt found anything indicating that at any time shed violated US immigration law.

Heres the timeline the letter presented for Melania :
- In Melania first came to the US on a “business visitor” visa a type of tourist visa that allowed her to stay in the US for several months, but didnt allow her to work legally.
- In she was issued an H1B work visa: something thats generally used for “high-skilled” workers with college degrees, but which also has a subcategory set aside for fashion models. That visa allowed her to work legally in the US.
- She renewed her H1B visa every year until 2001.
- In 2000, she applied for a green card for herself, and in March 2001, she became a lawful permanent resident in the United States.
- Melania then became a US citizen in 2006, after she married Donald Trump.
This is a perfectly plausible timeline.
Its fair to ask why the Trump campaign didnt publish this letter when questions began to come up about Melanias immigration history over the summer. Its fair to ask why the letter wasnt signed by the lawyer who actually helped Melania through this process.
Nude Photos Of Melania Trump Emerge
While Mrs. Donald Trump has been under fire of late thanks to inadvertently plagiarizing current first lady Michelle Obama’s speech from 2008, it seems Melania Trump is at the center of yet another scandal — one that looks much more like a centerfold.
Long before Melania Trump was wife to the Donald, she posed nude for a now discontinued French magazine in 1996. At the time of the photoshoot, Melania was 25-years-old, with the photos themselves depicting the potential first lady completely nude, save for a pair of high heels.
To be fair, the photos themselves are not overly vulgar or sexualized, and they appear as if they could be taken right out of the pages of Playboy rather than Hustler, for example.
At the time of this writing, the exclusive story is the top-ranked, most popular story on the official New York Post website. While the pictures themselves have been strategically blurred in certain areas, there is very little left to the imagination.

Donald Trump’s beautiful wife has been primed to perfection in anticipation of becoming the next First Lady of America.
But the immaculately groomed Melania Trump was rocked earlier this week by the revelation of a naked photoshoot with another woman, taken three years before she met the US businessman.
But it turns out that wasn’t her only brush with nude shoots.
The now 48-year-old model posed completely naked again in 2001 for the cover of British GQ magazine when she was then the girlfriend of the billionaire.
Shot on Trump’s customised Boeing 727, the cover features Melania handcuffed to a briefcase while laying naked on a fur blanket, wearing just a diamond encrusted chocker and matching cuffs.
The photo slightly shows her nipple, but as we’ve seen from her previous modelling pictures, this was no problem for the Slovenian born beauty.
The full spread, showing off the wealth of the Donald saw Melania don an array of scantily-clad outfits, as she posed around the luxury private plane.

From Slovenia To New York
Mrs Trump was born Melanija Knavs in Sevnica, a small town about an hour’s drive from Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana, to a relatively well-off family. Her father Viktor worked for the mayor of nearby Hrastnik before becoming a successful car salesman. Her mother, Amalija, designed prints for a fashion brand.
Melania studied design and architecture in Ljubljana. It was claimed on her professional website that she held a degree, but it later emerged that she dropped out during her first year. The website was eventually scrubbed entirely and redirected to Mr Trump’s business site.
What was Melania Trump like in Slovenia?
At 18, she signed with a modelling agency in Milan and began flying around Europe and the US, appearing in high-profile ad campaigns. It was at a party at New York Fashion week that she met Mr Trump.
Like her husband, she never drinks, according to reports, and shies away from late-night parties. She had her own branded jewellery business and was reportedly involved in the design process.
The pair married in 2005 and had a son, Barron, in 2006.
She did not initially move in to the White House with her husband after his election victory, remaining in New York until the end of Barron’s school term before joining the president in Washington in 2017.

What Melanias immigration status was when she first came to the US is one question. How she got her green card in 2001 allowing her to stay in the US indefinitely is another.
Lets go back to Trump lawyer Michael Wildes the one who signed the September letter. In August, during the brouhaha over her questionable work history, Wildes told Univision that hed helped her apply for her 2001 green card as an immigration lawyer for the Trump Organization and that shed qualified for it “based on marriage”: i.e., being married to a US citizen.
Melania Trump and Donald Trump didnt get married until 2006. Melania Trump has said shes never been married before.
Wildes clammed up when Univision asked him follow-up questions. And in September, the letter he signed claimed that Melania had gotten her green card another way: thanks to her “extraordinary ability” as a model.
This is certainly possible. Some immigration lawyers argue, however, that it would be very difficult. In 2001, Melania Knauss was mostly known as Donald Trumps girlfriend something an immigration agent could hypothetically take as evidence of prominence, but probably wouldnt. “If someone came to me with her ability, it would be very dubious she would get it,” immigration lawyer Bruce Morrison told the Washington Post.
Again, there doesnt appear to be enough here to believe that Melania Trump is lying. There are just stubborn questions.
It Looks Like Trump And Her Lawyer Are Telling The Truth About When She Did The Photoshoot
Melania Trumps lawyer actually addressed the claims directly in the September letter, saying that “the photo shoot in question did not occur until after she was admitted to the United States in H1-B status in October 1996.”
Without seeing the actual magazine spread in which Melanias photos appeared, we dont know for sure whether the Post or Trump is right about the dates. But It sure looks like Trump and her lawyer are right, and the Post and the photographer are wrong.
Heres why.
The Post said that the spread had appeared in the January 1996 issue of Max, and that that issue had Cindy Crawford on the cover. Neither of those is an accurate statement.
Max Magazine didnt have a “January issue” in 1996. It had a double issue for December/January, and then a February issue .
Cindy Crawford appeared on the cover of a February issue of Max. Since that issue came out in January, its probably the one that the Post and the photographer were thinking of. But its the 1997 issue which came out in January 1997, and which could absolutely have featured a photoshoot that took place in late 1996.
The photographer, de Basseville, confirmed to Talking Points Memo that the Melania spread ran in the February 1997 issue . Thats consistent with the timeline presented by Melania Trumps lawyer.
Neither of these jibe with the timeline presented in the letter the comment about applying after “two years,” in particular.

& #151 — To help his future wifes modeling career, Donald Trump allowed Melania to use his private jet for a photo shoot and had no problem with her posing nude, according to the fashion photographer who organized the session.
For that type of shoot, she was perfect, said Antoine Verglas, a renowned French photographer who lives in New York.
The pictures of Melania in various forms of undress were featured in a British GQ cover article in 2000. None of the published photos showed full frontal nudity.
Since Trump launched his campaign, Verglas says he has had to threaten lawsuits to prevent anti-Trump websites from using the photos and has turned down tens of thousands of dollars to license the Melania photos to other magazines.
I have to honor my commitment to this shoot, Verglas told ABC News.
Should Trump win in November, his wife would become the only American first lady known to have posed naked for publication.
There is nothing pornographic in an image like that, Verglas said. Its a gorgeous image of her.
Trump was not present for the session, which featured Melania, then Melania Knauss, as a “James Bond” femme fatale on the wings and inside the planes cockpit.
But Verglas said Trump was extremely supportive of her modeling career.
And the photographer said Melania insisted there be no full nudity in the pictures used by the magazine.
A ‘traditional’ First Lady
Glamorous and entirely devoted to her husband and his success, Mrs Trump, 50, has been cast as a kind of retro presidential spouse, a modern-day Jackie Kennedy.
When Mr Trump first hinted at tilting for the top office, in 1999, she told reporters: “I would be very traditional, like Betty Ford or Jackie Kennedy.”
But there are ways in which she has been a less-than-traditional First Lady: she is the first to have previously posed nude for a magazine.
During the last presidential race, supporters of Ted Cruz – Mr Trump’s rival for the Republican nomination in 2016 – seized on her work as a model, overlaying an image of her posing naked with the warning: “Meet Melania Trump, your next First Lady. Or you could vote for Ted Cruz”.
Early in 2016, a lewd phone interview with Mr and Mrs Trump by shock-jock radio presenter Howard Stern resurfaced, in which Mr Stern quizzed Mrs Trump about what she was wearing and how often she had sex with Mr Trump , and described her to Mr Trump as “that broad in your bed”. The interview prompted accusations of misogyny.
Mrs Trump has also sued the Daily Mail over an article she claims implies that she was a sex worker in the 1990s. The newspaper agreed to pay damages and apologised to the First Lady in April 2017.
Her treatment has been compared by some commentators to “slut-shaming” – the practice of attacking women over certain ways of dressing or acting.

On July 30th, the New York Post published nude photos of Melania Knauss. The photos were taken for a photoshoot for the French edition of Max magazine, a mens magazine that went defunct in 2006.
The Post reported that the “sexy photo spread appeared in the January 1996 issue of Max Magazine, whose cover featured a photo of supermodel Cindy Crawford.” And the photographer, Alé de Basseville told the Post that theyd been taken at a shoot in Manhattan in 1995.
At the time the Post ran the story, Melania was maintaining that shed come to the US in 1996, but hadnt given any details about when or what sort of visa she was on. The Post article appeared to reveal that, before she admitted to living in the US, she was not just in Manhattan but working as a model.
The apparent inconsistency set off a lot of questions. It made it seem like Melania Trump had something to hide when she said shed come to the US in 1996.
In particular, it gave rise to the possibility that Melania Trump had done the photoshoot before shed been legally allowed to work in the US: that shed come to the US on a tourist visa, and violated the terms of that visa by doing modeling work. By some definitions since violating the terms of a visa technically nullifies the visa that would have made her an “illegal immigrant,” or at very least an illegal worker.

Nude photos at the center of questions about Melania Trumps immigration history were first published in early 1997, timing that contradicts previous reports but is consistent with Trumps own timeline of her immigration.
Trump has consistently said she came to the United States in 1996, but in August, the New York Post published nude photos of her that the newspaper reported were taken in New York in 1995 for the January 1996 issue of Max Magazine, a publication that is now defunct.
POLITICO published a report on gaps in Trumps account of her immigration based in part on the Posts timeline. Later, Maxs former editor-in-chief, Marc Dolisi, also told The Washington Post that the photos appeared in the February 1996 issue.
Now, POLITICO has obtained a copy of the magazine issue in question from the French National Library in Paris. The photos were published in the February 1997 issue of Max, #88. Both the New York Post and Dolisi are now acknowledging they were mistaken in dating the publication of the photos a year earlier than they actually appeared.
