More Than Two Dozen Covid
In several communities, public health officials have linked COVID-19 cases to Trump rally attendance. At least 26 individual cases have been linked to Trump rallies held between the months of June and September, according to various news reports. In many of these cases, officials were unable to determine whether the case acquired the infection at a rally or was already positive for COVID-19 when they attended the event.
In addition, some local public health authorities have pointed to Trump rallies as a reason for an increase in community spread. Compared to the county-level data on COVID-19, some events with confirmed rally-linked cases were not followed by a clear increase in case counts. Conversely, for some instances where cases rose dramatically after an event the authors did not find news reports about cases among rally participants.

Former President Donald Trump is set to return to Michigan for a rally on Saturday, April 2.
The rally will be held at the Michigan Star Sports Center at 65665 Powell Road in Washington Township.
Doors will open at 2 p.m. The rally is set to begin at 7 p.m.

His appreciation for Iowa extended toward 88-year-old Grassley, who he said has my complete and total endorsement for reelection.
We have with us tonight a great American patriot, a man who truly loves Iowa loves Iowa, Trump said. Hes a young very young guy. Hes strong. And hes very handsome. He fights like no other. When Ive needed him for help he was always there.
As for Gov. Kim Reynolds, who has not formally announced her reelection campaign, Trump hinted that an endorsement could be coming very soon.
I said, Kim, do you want me to endorse you tonight or later? And she said, Sir, this is Chuck Grassleys night. How nice is that? the former president said.

President Trump will hold his next campaign rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Saturday, July 11 and this time, the rally will be outdoors. The trip also marks the president’s first campaign rally in a political battleground state and second mega-event since his hiatus from the trail due to the coronavirus pandemic. The president’s reelection campaign announced Sunday that the rally will take place at Portsmouth International Airport at 8 p.m. ET. According to a statement released by the Trump campaign, the outdoor event will feature “ample access to hand sanitizer” and all attendees “will be provided a face mask that they are strongly encouraged to wear.” Trump campaign officials tell CBS News campaign reporter Nicole Sganga that all attendees will also be required to pass a temperature check upon entry. Though the event will technically take place on federal land at the former site of Pease Air Force Base, the Trump campaign has coordinated with Governor Chris Sununu’s office and state officials ahead of Saturday’s event.

Half Of Trumps Rallies Were Followed By An Increase In Cases In The County
Public health experts have voiced concern that Trumps rallies pose a risk not only to participants themselves but also to others in the communities in which they are held. Due to concerns about COVID-19, the Trump team suspended rallies in March. It then held two indoor rallies in June and again halted in-person events as the United States approached its second peak of COVID-19 cases. Trump resumed rallies in mid-August, appearing at multiple large events per week. In total, Trump held nearly two dozen rallies between June and September.
Attendees at ralliesincluding those held in Pennsylvania, Florida, and North Carolinatend not wear masks or socially distance, even after Trump himself contracted the virus. In addition, the majority of these events have been in violation of local or state restrictions on gatherings to limit the spread of COVID-19. Most Trump rallies during the pandemic have been outdoors in airplane hangars, which may have helped mitigate transmission relative to indoor settings.
To examine whether Trumps rallies were associated with heightened cases, the authors used county-level data on COVID-19 positive cases from TheNew York Times. For each of the 22 rallies Trump held between June and September, the authors looked at a chart of daily new cases and the seven-day moving average of new cases during the 21 days before and after the rally. The full set of charts is available at the end of this column as an appendix.
Trump To Hold April Rally In Michigan
Former President Trump is set to hold a rally in Michigan next month, traveling to a state that is at the center of his unfounded claims of election fraud in the 2020 election.
Trumps leadership PAC announced Friday that hell hold the rally in Washington Township on April 2. Hell give remarks in support of Matthew DePerno and Kristina Karamo, his endorsed candidates for Michigan attorney general and secretary of state, respectively.
Michigan has emerged as a top swing state in recent cycles, handing Trump a narrow victory in 2016 and a loss by about 3 percentage points in 2020.
Trump has repeatedly said that voter fraud robbed him of a victory in the Wolverine State two years ago and has called for further examination into the results despite his loss being confirmed by an audit.
Both DePerno and Karamo are trying to flip offices held by Democrats and have spread conspiracy theories about the 2020 race.
Michigan is hosting a competitive gubernatorial race this year, as well as several other contests down the ballot.
Trump has not yet issued an endorsement in the gubernatorial race but has been a vocal critic of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer , who is running for reelection.
The rally next month will mark the latest in a spree of appearances for Trump, who is set to hold a rally in Georgia next week and recently appeared in South Carolina.

Several supporters streamed out of the event hall during Trumps remarks, which capped off an all-day event featuring a slate of leading voices within the conservative movement including Donald Trump Jr., former Trump adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
The event was part of the larger America Freedom Tour, which aims to rally conservative energy around Trump. The tour will make its next stop in Memphis, Tennessee, on June 18.

Perusing the Trump related merchandise on offer all along the road leading to the rally, friends Cathy Amour and Isabelle Myers lamented the countrys trajectory post-Trump presidency.
The talk has changed since he left, Amour, 66, said. The discourse has just gotten a lot meaner.
While economic issues were their main concerns politically, more importantly, they both felt that the country better united and more God-centered under Trump.

Rep Moore Speaks On Upcoming Trump Rally
ENTERPRISE, Ala.
Earlier this month, it was announced that former President Donald Trump will be in Cullman next weekend for a Save America rally.
One of his strongest supporters is 2nd Congressional District Congressman Barry Moore.
Tuesday in Enterprise he talked about the upcoming rally and whether the former president is gearing up for a potential run in 2024.
Moore says he believes the rally is more about freedoms in America.
Trump, I think in a lot of ways is trying to help win House seats so as he travels to these states and Senate seats, 2nd Congressional District Rep, Barry Moore added. Obviously, hes not up for election right now, so I think hes trying to build a base for Congress to get the gavel away from Nancy Pelosi maybe get a majority in the Senate, because hes always kind of fought for those candidates and I think thats more what hes doing right now.
Moore plans to attend the rally in Cullman on August 21st.

The next battle along former President Donald Trumps impeachment revenge warpath is a GOP primary contest in western Michigan featuring a lopsided fundraising contest that favors one of his biggest congressional enemies Rep. Peter Meijer.
Meijera first-term Republican who voted to impeach Trumpon Wednesday debuts his inaugural television ad of the cycle, shared first with POLITICO.
Titled Pure Michigan, it highlights Meijers Iraq deployment in the Army Reserves and hints that he supports some of the former presidents signature policies, including building a border wall, but without mentioning Trump. I am fighting for the values that run through every community and every person in West Michigan, Meijer says.
Im running on my record as a proven conservative who is committed to upholding the Constitution and delivering results for West Michigan, and our first TV ad underscores this dedication, Meijer told POLITICO in a statement.
Meijers primary campaign is yet another test of whether Trumps endorsement can elevate a MAGA challenger not just with voters but among donors, and of the former presidents sway in a district that skews suburban and Democratic.
A spokesperson for Gibbs did not immediately return a request for comment.

How Many Ballots Have Already Been Cast

Data from election officials indicate that as of Oct. 30, more than 20 million preelection ballots had been cast, according to CNN.
Over 2 million ballots have been cast in three states Texas, Florida, and California already as Georgia and North Carolina catch up, per the report.
According to BBC, a majority of experts expect voter turnout to at least match, if not surpass, the 2020 presidential election.

Trump Goes After Biden
Trump kicked off his speech early and took hits at the Biden administration for inflation and foreign policy, among other issues. He incorrectly claimed he may have won the 2020 election in Ohio by more than 8 percentage points, which was the result certified by state election officials.
Trump also told the crowd they need to send Vance to the U.S. Senate and kept directing comments to J.D. throughout his remarks.

Trump Endorses New Hampshire Candidate

Politico recently noted that New Hampshire had not been receiving enough love from the Republican Party claiming Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., former Vice President Mike Pence and even former President Donald Trump as missing from the state, though the report noted that Trump had endorsed both the Republican House candidates.
The former president may have caught on, and on Monday he formally endorsed New Hampshire Senate candidate Don Bolduc, potentially giving Republicans a push in a key Senate election, per The New York Times.
General Don Bolduc has run a great campaign to be the U.S. Senator from the beautiful State of New Hampshire. He was a strong and proud Election Denier, a big reason that he won the Nomination, but he then disavowed, Trump said in a Truth Social post.
He has since come back, at least on busing, but that is only a small part of N.H. Election Fraud. Nevertheless, Don Bolduc has asked for my Endorsement, and hes got it, Complete & Total. His opponent is a disaster on Crime, the Border, Inflation, & all else. Vote for Don Bolduc!
According to The Hill, Bolduc has welcomed this support. A Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll found that Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan is leading by 9 percentage points.
