After President Joe Biden announced his administration would order another 100 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, Trump responded seeking credit for the swift rollout.
The ex-president said in a statement released by his office on March 10: “I hope everyone remembers when theyre getting the COVID-19 Vaccine, that if I wasnt President, you wouldnt be getting that beautiful shot for 5 years, at best.
“And probably wouldnt be getting it at all.
I hope everyone remembers!”
Both Pfizer and Modernas two-dose coronavirus vaccines were developed and authorized for emergency use while Trump was in office.
Moderna received funding for design and testing under Trumps Operation Warp Speed, while Pfizer had an advance-purchase agreement.
J& J, which was authorized for use after Biden took office, also had a pre-existing federal production deal made under the Trump administration.
Will Donald Trump Run For President Again In 2024
Trump has dropped hints about running for President again in 2024.
After the news broke that for at least two years, he released a statement implying his return to the presidency.
He said: Next time Im in the White House there will be no more dinners, at his request, with Mark Zuckerberg and his wife. It will be all business!
Without giving too much away, Trump has named a number of strong Republican contenders for the 2024 bid, excluding his former presidential right-hand Mike Pence.
Constitutionally, Trump can launch a second White House bid after losing in 2020 – his team has previously hinted that he could seek another term in 2024.
The 22nd Amendment states: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of President more than once.”

Heilbron did not return repeated requests for an interview, but Res and Sprague both described Trump as a supportive boss who gave them a shot in an industry that was particularly unwelcoming to women.

Most legal and constitutional experts agree: Given the facts that have come to light about former President Donald Trump‘s role in the mob attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and the efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, it is now plausible that he will be charged with crimes, tried and convicted. “It’s no longer premature to say that Trump could end up in prison,” says Michael Conway, a longtime trial lawyer who started his career as counsel for the House Judiciary Committee during the impeachment inquiry into Richard Nixon in 1974 , and who now teaches ethics and the law at Northwestern University. “It’s a winnable case.”
The same experts are quick to point out that no criminal case is a sure thing, and that’s triply true for the prospects of tagging Trump with a crime. For one thing, allegations of misdeeds, including fraud, sexual assault and treason, have dogged Trump from the 1970s through his presidency. He has yet to face a criminal trial, let alone conviction.
As Republicans look to take control of the House in this year’s elections, they are already plotting their revenge for the January 6 inquiry by targeting figures like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for investigation. If the Biden administration files criminal charges against Trump, those efforts will likely go nuclear.

Trump Did Flush Ripped
Former President Donald Trump appears to have flushed ripped-up government documents down the toilet after all, new photos revealed on Monday.
New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman obtained the photos for “Confidence Man,” her forthcoming book on the Trump White House.
Some aides were aware of the habit, which he engaged in repeatedly, Haberman told Axios, which published the photos. It was an extension of Trumps term-long habit of ripping up documents that were supposed to be preserved.
One of the photos is of a toilet in the White House while another is from a foreign trip, according to the report.
Its impossible to tell the subject of the destroyed documents. But the name Stefanik, apparently a reference to upstate Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., is legible on one piece of paper.
Trump derided the new report through his spokesman, Tyler Budowich.
You have to be pretty desperate to sell books if pictures of paper in a toilet bowl is part of your promotional plan, said Budowich.
The twice-impeached president was notorious for ripping up documents in his frequent rages, forcing aides to collect scraps that later had to be taped back together and submitted to the National Archives.
Trump also took several boxes stuffed with records, including papers marked CLASSIFIED, with him to his Florida estate when he left the White House on Jan. 20, 2021.

Biden Grants Trump Executive Clemency
President Joe Biden could elect to grant Trump executive clemency in the form of a pardon, commutation, amnesty, or reprieve if Trump gets indicted, convicted, or even faces the threat of indictment while Biden is in office. The most famous historical example of this was when President Gerald Ford pardoned his predecessor, Richard Nixon, after Nixon resigned from office amid the Watergate scandal.
Congress dropped its impeachment investigation into Nixon following his resignation but he still faced the risk of criminal prosecution on both a state and federal level. In September 1974, Ford granted Nixon a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he may have committed while president.
While the move was seen as a step towards helping the country heal in the wake of Watergate, it’s also widely believed to be one of the main reasons Ford lost his own bid to serve a full term in the 1980 election against Jimmy Carter.
Now, more than four decades later, legal experts suggest it’s highly likely Biden would grant Trump a pardon or a commutation if he’s convicted, indicted or under threat of indictment in order to avoid further inflaming political divisions in the country.
“My 100% is really that there is no way that a former POTUS is going to spend time in jail, or that Biden would allow that,” Asha Rangappa, a former FBI agent and a dean at Yale Law School, tweeted.
Aziz Huq, a law professor at the University of Chicago, made a similar point.

Trump and former First Lady Melania were given a warm welcome as they attended an Easter Sunday church service before heading to Mar-a-Lago for an egg roll.
The couple were issued a rousing round of applause as they stood in the front row of the Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on Easter morning.
Onlookers appeared stunned to learn of the Trumps’ presence at the religious event.
In photographs from the service at Christ Fellowship Church, which has seating for about 1,500 people, none of the attendees appear to be wearing masks.
The Trumps also appeared to be freely mingling with other guests and not practising social distancing.

Trump Gets Indicted And Acquitted Following A Trial
It’s also possible that Trump could be criminally charged and opt not to cut a deal, and that Biden wouldn’t step in with a clemency grant. If the case goes to trial, a 12-person jury would have to reach a unanimous decision in order to convict, and Trump would be off the hook if just one juror broke from the others.
If he does sidestep the legal minefield he’s currently in and makes it back into the White House in 2024, Trump and his allies have made clear that they intend to exact revenge on the Justice Department and the FBI.
It wouldn’t be the first time Trump has interfered with the department’s work.
He made headlines during his presidency for wondering why he couldn’t have “my guys” at the “Trump Justice Department” do his bidding. He famously fired James Comey, the FBI director in charge of the investigation into the Trump campaign’s links to Russia. Then he ordered the firing of the special counsel appointed to investigate Comey’s firing .
When he lost the 2020 election, Trump tried to enlist the Justice Department to overturn Biden’s victory and attempted to oust the acting attorney general before backing off when top DOJ officials threatened to resign en masse.
On Wednesday, the former president took to Truth Social to post a Wall Street Journal op-ed by the pro-Trump columnist Kimberly Strassel titled, “The Payback for Mar-a-Lago Will Be Brutal.”
Defamation: Suit Over Trumps Denial Of Rape Claims By E Jean Carroll
Magazine writer E. Jean Carroll alleged Trump raped her in a New York department store dressing room in the mid 1990s and defamed her when he denied the rape, said she was not his type and alleged she made the claim to boost sales of her book.
Trump and the Justice Department say Trump was a federal employee and his statements denying Carrolls allegations were made in response to reporters questions while he was at the White House. They argue the Justice Department should be substituted as the defendant, which, because the government cannot be sued for defamation, would end the lawsuit.
A federal judge denied that effort. DOJ and Trump appealed the ruling, and no decision has been made.
Trump lost an attempt to countersue earlier this year.

The Investigation Concludes With No Charges Filed
In the US’s 250-year history, no ex-commander-in-chief has ever faced criminal charges. And while the FBI’s raid indicates that its investigation has entered an aggressive phase, the inquiry could very well wrap without an indictment against Trump.
For a somewhat similar example of this option playing out , look to Trump’s ex-personal defense attorney Rudy Giuliani. The FBI raided Giuliani’s home and office last year and seized more than a dozen of his electronic devices as part of a criminal investigation into whether Giuliani broke foreign lobbying laws.
But earlier this month, the feds returned Giuliani’s devices to him and The New York Times reported that he’s unlikely to face criminal charges related to his work in Ukraine.
Barbara McQuade, the former US attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, cautioned against assuming that the Mar-a-Lago raid will lead to an indictment and said it’s possible the Justice Department only wanted to recover the records Trump had at his Florida property.
“In a case involving sensitive documents, a high priority for the government is to protect the content from disclosure, which can be difficult when trying a case in open court,” McQuade told Insider. “The warrant may have been executed just to get the documents back. It was Trump who made the public announcement about it.”

Lafayette Square Protester Removal And Photo Op
On June 1, 2020, federal law enforcement officials used batons, rubber bullets, pepper spray projectiles, stun grenades, and smoke to remove a largely peaceful crowd of protesters from Lafayette Square, outside the White House. Trump then walked to St. John’s Episcopal Church, where protesters had set a small fire the night before he posed for photographs holding a Bible, with senior administration officials later joining him in photos. Trump said on June 3 that the protesters were cleared because “they tried to burn down the church and almost succeeded”, describing the church as “badly hurt”.
Religious leaders condemned the treatment of protesters and the photo opportunity itself. Trump Organization: Ny Da Criminal Investigation
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg inherited that offices probe into Trumps businesses, but it has slowed significantly.

A special grand jury hearing evidence in the case expired in April, but a new one could be seated in the future.
