This video demonstrates how to change a burnt out taillight bulb on your 2012 Jeep Patriot. Some of the other bulbs in the tail light cluster such as the brake light or turn signal may also function as the tail light in your Patriot. It is possible for the turn signal or brake light to work but the tailight part to be burnt out – replacing the bulb on your Patriot will restore functionality to both. Since the tailights are on whenever your parking lights or headlights are on, they will burn out eventually. Burn out tail lights are a common reason for a police officer to pull you over, so we recommend changing all of the tail lights on your Patriot whenever one is burnt out.When changing the tailight bulb on your Patriot, be careful not to touch the glass part of the new bulb as this will cause the tailight bulb to burn out quicker.

Last night, I noticed that my tail light was out. I want to change it before I get a ticket, but Iâm not sure what the process is. How do you replace a tail light in a 2014 Jeep Patriot?

• Open the tailgate and go to the affected side.
• Use the flathead screwdriver to pry up the plastic fasteners on the inner edge of the tail light housing
• Remove the tail light housing and turn over to access the bulbs
• Release the socket by turning it counterclockwise
• Remove the old bulb
• Using gloves to prevent damage and smudging, install the new bulb
• Reinstall all parts in reverse order
• Test your tail light

How To Install The Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit On A 2014 Jeep Patriot

Today on our 2014 Jeep Patriot, were installing a roadmaster tail light wiring kit with bulbs part number RM-155. Now, were going to begin up here at the front of the vehicle. Well go ahead and raise the hood up. Now, were going to take the long wire that has two four flat ends to it. Were actually going to cut one of the four flat ends off. Now the end that we keep that has a four flat connected to it, were actually going to mount up underneath the grill in this vehicle.Now, this vehicle already has a base plate installed so well be connecting it up here at the base plate.

Now were going to go ahead and route the wire up to the engine compartment and down behind the front fascia zip tying it off along the way. Were also going to make sure we leave a little extra wire underneath the lower fascia as well as in the engine compartment. If we have any future needs or if we want to change the way the plug is mounted, well have plenty of extra lead. Now that weve secured our four flat up underneath the lower fascia, were going to go ahead and route the wire up to the engine compartment and back down along the firewall.Now once we have all the excess wire pulled down underneath the vehicle, well go ahead and zip-tie it off along the way. Now that the wire is pulled down underneath the vehicle, were going to route it along where theres some other wires as well as some tubing that runs back to the back.
