Gov Greg Abbott Not Attending Rally
3:37 p.m. – Gov. Greg Abbott, whom Trump endorsed in the March primary, will not attend the Robstown event due to a out-of-state fundraising trip. The incumbent Republican governor, who is running for reelection against Democrat Beto O’Rourke, was in Corpus Christi on Thursday for an immigration-focused campaign event with a bipartisan group of county sheriffs.

Abbott is scheduled for an Oct. 27 rally at Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi.

COLUMBIA When former President Donald Trump holds his first public campaign event in South Carolina later this month, he’ll be taking a page out of Ronald Reagan’s playbook. Sort of.
In 1980, when Reagan delivered a 45-minute speech on the Statehouse steps in Columbia, he had already clinched the GOP presidential nomination. Red, white and blue balloons floated through the air as the former movie star turned and smiled at the cameras while an estimated 10,000 people cheered him on.
But paperwork filed with state government officials this week shows Trump’s planned Jan. 28 rally on steps at the Statehouse will be a decidedly smaller affair, with organizers saying that they are planning for 500 attendees.
The reduced crowd size, a departure from Trump’s large-scale campaign rallies, suggests there will be a layer of exclusivity when the former president rolls out his South Carolina leadership team.
Already, the guest list is shaping up with some high-profile names.
The Trump campaign announced Jan. 17 the former president will be joined by U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and Gov. Henry McMaster, two of his most loyal supporters in the Palmetto State.
Last Time Trump Visited After Hurricane Harvey

But as he was leaving, the visit had more of the look of a rally with hundreds of supporters lining the road roaring approval as he emerged from the Annaville Volunteer Fire Department, where he was briefed on local recovery efforts in the aftermath of the Category 4 storm.
Trump generally praised the work of emergency responders, but added a caveat: There wont be congratulations exchanged until the crisis has concluded.
He told the outdoor audience who were waving U.S. and Texas flags while shouting USA, Texas Trump and lock her up they would see him soon and pulled out a Texas flag.
I will tell you this is historic. This is epic, what happened, Trump said. But you know what? It happened in Texas, and Texas can handle anything.

Former President Donald Trump is anticipated to declare another bid for the White House on Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, at 9 p.m.

How To Watch Donald Trump’s Arizona Rally With Kari Lake And Blake Masters
Former President Donald Trump will be making a stop in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday to stump for candidates he has endorsed in this year’s midterm elections including Blake Masters, the GOP U.S. Senate candidate, and Kari Lake, the state’s Republican candidate for governor.
The rally comes as the former president has traveled around the country in recent months to throw his support behind candidates ahead of the elections. On Saturday, Trump spoke in Minden, Nevada, alongside endorsed candidates Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who is running in the state’s gubernatorial race, and former state Attorney General Adam Laxalt, the GOP nominee in the U.S. Senate race.
In a statement on its website, Trump’s “Save America” political action committee said the rally in Arizona “is a continuation of President Trump’s unprecedented effort to advance the MAGA agenda by energizing voters and highlighting America First candidates and causes.”
The rally, which begins at 6 p.m. EST, is being streamed live by the Right Side Broadcasting Network and can be viewed on YouTube, or the platform Rumble.
In addition to Trump, Masters and Lake, speakers at the event will include Arizona GOP Representatives Andy Biggs and Debbie Lesko, and GOP Representative , of Georgia.
Newsweek has reached out to the Trump’s press office, and the Masters’ and Lake campaigns for comment.
Election 202: Trump Addresses Rally For Republicans In Sioux City
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Former President Trump took the stage at a Republican rally gathered Thursday night in northwest Iowa.
The event at the Sioux Gateway Airport, located about 90 miles northeast of Omaha, got started at 4 p.m. with special guests taking the stage ahead of Trumps speech later tonight.
The former president will be stumping for a slate of Trump-endorsed GOP candidates, including Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Sen. Chuck Grassley. Marjorie Taylor Greene also spoke at the rally.

CINCINNATI – Former President Trump strongly hinted at, but did not formally announce, his 2024 Presidential candidacy Monday in Ohio.
Trump spoke for around two hours at the Dayton International Airport in Vandalia on the eve of the 2022 midterms.
Coming into the rally, multiple national outlets reported the possibility that Trump would announce. Instead, he teased a very big announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Mar-A-Lago, Florida.
Trump was nominally in Ohio stumping for U.S. Senate hopeful J.D. Vance. Also in attendance were U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.
Those attendees, including Vance, spoke for fewer than five minutes. DeWine was even booed when he took the podium.
Trump did the heavy lifting, hitting Republican midterm messaging on crime, immigration, the economy and geopolitical threats while painting a bleak picture of the country he helmed just two years ago. America then was a great country, he remarked. Twenty-four months later, it is a joke, a cesspool and failing.
Trump also continued to repeat the provable lie that he won the 2020 Presidential contest. In the next breath, he said former Vice President Mike Pence erred in certifying the results of the election, the decision that partly triggered the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

SIOUX CITY – With the midterms quickly approaching, former President Donald Trump is in Sioux City to give a speech tonight.
The former president will speak at whats being called the Save America Rally at Sioux Gateway Airport. The gates opened at 2 p.m. with speeches starting at 4 p.m. from other Republicans.
Some of those Republicans are running for re-election next week. Gov. Kim Reynolds and Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley will be among those taking the stage.
Trump himself is expected to speak at 7 p.m.

But it is the race in Pennsylvania that both parties view as critical. From Labor Day through Election Day, nearly $160 million will be spent on ads by both parties, more than any other Senate race, according to ad tracker AdImpact.

Republicans Hope To Build A ‘red Wave’ On Tuesday
Republicans were banking on Trump’s Iowa visit to help stoke a red wave of enthusiasm and discontent that could help them wipe the board of Democrats, lifting lesser-known down-ballot candidates such as Republican attorney general candidate Brenna Bird and auditor candidate Todd Halbur.
An October Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows Reynolds handily leading her Democratic opponent, businesswoman Deidre DeJear. The same poll shows Grassley with his narrowest lead since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate and squeaky tight contests in two of four U.S. House districts.
We’re all fired up tonight,” Reynolds told the crowd. “We’re five days out, and we talk an awful lot about a red wave. And the only way that red wave is going to happen is if we build it. And in order to build it, we need you to show up.
Please help me get my own attorney general in Brenna Bird! Reynolds said to cheers. Bird is challenging longtime Iowa Democratic Attorney General Tom Miller.
Grassley also tossed some political red meat for the crowd.
“Im not going to give up on trying to get political bias out of the FBI,” he said, drawing his biggest cheer of the night. “And Im not going to give up on my investigation of Hunter Biden and other Bidens.”
Iowa Democrats were critical of Trump and Iowa Republicans who appeared with him.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Former President Donald Trump is coming to Miami just two days before Election Day. But one Republican wont be there Gov. Ron DeSantis. Not yet anyway.
Trump on Wednesday said hell hold a rally with Sen. Marco Rubio on Nov. 6. DeSantis was left off the announcement and an adviser to the former president said the Florida governor is not attending.
The apparent snub angered some people within DeSantis orbit, who complained that the Florida governors team was not informed of the rally prior to Trump announcing it. The timing of the Trump and Rubio event means any campaign event DeSantis holds that day wont get as much attention during the all-important final stretch of the 2022 midterms.
Youve got the Sunday before Election Day totally hijacked by Trump parachuting in on Trump Force One taking up the whole day, said a longtime Republican consultant who is close to the governor. No Republican could go to a DeSantis event that day. None. And DeSantis wont be here? This is big.

Texas Senate District 27 Candidate Takes The Stage
4:06 p.m. – Texas Senate District 27 candidate Adam Hinojosa, a Corpus Christi businessman, was the first to take the stage. Hinojosa faces Democratic nominee Morgan LaMantia, a McAllen lawyer who was endorsed by retiring district 27 senator Eddie Lucio Jr., D-Brownsville.

Trump To Hold Wisconsin Rally In August
Former President Trump will hold a rally in Wisconsin next month in support of his endorsed candidates, including Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Tim Michels , his Save America PAC announced on Tuesday.
An advisory from the Save America PAC said that the rally would be held on the evening of Aug. 5 in Waukesha.
In addition to Michels, Trump has endorsed several other Wisconsin candidates, including incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson and House candidate Derrick Van Orden .
Johnson, however, said in a statement he would not be attending the rally, citing Trumps endorsement of Michels.
Wisconsin will always welcome presidents of both parties. I hope former President Trump enjoys his time in our state and Im sure those attending will enjoy rallying with others who love America, he said in a statement.
Because this event supports one of the Republican gubernatorial candidates, I will not be attending. I do not endorse candidates in contested primaries. Instead I rely on the good judgement of Republican voters to choose our candidates and will be fully supportive of those who win their primary elections.
This happened so fast, this is 18 months ago. This just happened, we took care of it. End of story. Theres nothing else to say about this, Johnson said two days after the revelation emerged.
