The overall picture is pretty encouraging for the incumbents, said Eric Schickler, co-director of the Institute of Governmental Studies.

On 15 March, the names of the remaining presidential candidates Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich on the Republican side, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders for the Democrats will be on ballot papers in five states and one US territory. Although this Tuesday will be less frantic than Super Tuesday two weeks ago, when 12 states and one territory held primary elections, its just as important. By 16 March, the race for the White House could look very different depending on how Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio vote.

Thats partly because the delegate numbers in those states are so high in total, 367 Republican and 792 Democratic delegates are available on 15 March. That brings us significantly closer to the finish line of having just two presidential candidates: at the moment, 33% of Democratic delegates have been pledged but by the time the polls have closed on 15 March, that number will rise to 50%. For Republicans, pledged delegates will jump from 46% to 61%.

Those percentages just mean that playing catch-up gets harder from here. Clinton is still on track for the Democratic nomination to change that, Sanders needs to pick up at least 326 of the pledged delegates .

In Rural California Republican Brian Dahle Plants The Seeds Of A Campaign For Governor

This is a tough race, Republican state Sen. Brian Dahle said about his decision to challenge Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

There are Democrats who dont love Newsom. If could have gotten a fair number of those votes, maybe he becomes a kind of focal point for opposition, Schickler said.

Shellenberger trails the top Republican in the race, state Sen. Brian Dahle of Bieber, who had the support of 10% of those surveyed including 26% of Republicans and 8% of independents.

Although thats not a wide lead, Dahles endorsement by the California Republican Party and his long history of winning elections in Northern California will probably attract more support when voters who said they are now undecided ultimately cast their ballots, Schickler said. Newsom already has been attacking Dahle by name in political ads, targeting the Republicans opposition to abortion rights and saying he stands with former President Trump. Those attacks might have helped elevate the state senators name identification across California, and hint that Newsom might prefer going up against a Republican in November rather than an independent like Shellenberger.

We understand that California is a blue state. Theres no doubt about it, but theres also a lot of frustration, Dahle said. Theres a clear choice of different philosophies and policy.

The Democratic and Republican Parties are required to use primary elections to choose their candidates for the general election. Although it is up to the parties to decide who may vote in their primaries, generally only registered voters affiliated with the Democratic or Republican Parties may vote in that party’s primary election.

What Do Party Preferences Mean When Listed With Candidates’ Names On The Ballot What Are The Qualified Political Parties And Abbreviations Of Those Party Names

The term “party preference” is now used in place of the term “party affiliation.” A candidate must indicate his or her preference or lack of preference for a qualified political party. If the candidate has a qualified political party preference that qualified political party will be indicated by the candidate’s name on the ballot. No party in the United States of America cares about the debt enough to pass a balanced budget amendment to the constitution of the United States.

The GOP tells a convenient story we can grow out of it, and the Democrats do not have a plan for this except taxing the productive. They will increase spending and taxes which slows economic growth for every demographic. Therefore, both parties fall short. That being said read on, as when placed on a scale, there is a clear winner as all issues do not have equal weight.

If you want an economic stimulus to balance the budget and cut Federal spending. This is the opposite of what you have learned from Economic textbooks on the Great Depression of the 1930s. However, government competes with the private sector for scarce resources and this slows market corrections back to equalirbium. Origins Of The Two Us Political Parties

Abraham Lincoln founded the Republican party. It was founded under freedom for all people.

In contrast, the Democrats were pro-slave. Andrew Jackson, who eradicated the Seminole Native Americans, who were peacefully gathering Seminole pumpkins in the forest, founded the Democratic party or at least was their first President. This does matter.

Why I am a one-issue voter. I believe in God, therefore pro-life. One day we will be asked what we stood for in this life. Taxes and guns and all the other hot issues pale, in comparison to protecting a miracle. And if you are a man or woman in American reading this, let us be honest feminism has messed with your head so much that babies are second to convenience. I love babies all babies dont you? Robbing someone from their life is the ultimate in stripping freedom and liberty from people. Republicans take a stand for freedom and moral issues.

Do not listen to the polls or election commentators or be swayed by the current culture. Vote based on your moral consciousness. I am getting a Ph.D. in Economics. I teach college economics. Ironically economic issues are not at the top of my list for voting criteria, because I believe this is a moral choice rather than a monetary choice. Money is so trivial in the grand scheme of life compared to life itself.

Which Republican Should I Vote For On Tuesday

Okay, I hate Bruce Braley they tell me as bad as Harkin is Braley will be twice as bad, so any of the 5 Republicans seeking the nomination would be better than Braley.

If I could wave a wand and make Sam Clovis the next senator from Iowa, I would but he has to beat that piece of garbage Braley first and as damned dumb people are these days, I don`t know that Clovis could get elected.

Then we have Whitaker, he`s bald headed and played football as a Hawkeye for Hayden Fry. He`d be good but he looks like he`d tear someone`s head off and that might scare the Ladies. Then there`s Schlaben, he`s a plain talker, maybe too plain and the media would give him the Michele Bachmann treatment.

Joni Ernst, I like her solider, farmer, mother, hog cutter….but, she missed 73 out of 105 votes while in the state senate. She says it was because of National Guard duties but that isn`t entirely true and I`m afraid Braley would beat her up over that.

Okay Mark Jacobs the front runner and the one with the best chance to beat Braley. He`s my least favorite the more I hear from him, the less I like him. He has baggage like sending money to Arlen Spector and Cap and Trade, but those are things the Democrats can`t beat him up on. …if Joni just showed up and voted, I would easliy vote for her, but I`m afraid we`ve had Jacobs picked for us.

I`ll likely support Jacobs on Tuesday and he`ll probably will win, but it`s a shame it won`t be Sam Clovis….did I mention that I hate Bruce Braley?

Both Parties Lack Of Monetary Awareness

Both the GOP and Democrats and Independents favor a Central Bank. The Federal Reserve was created in 1913. Growth rates here higher, lower inflation and fewer business cycles before 1913. Both parties would never replace this with something like the gold standard or free banking as politically they need control over the dials that drive the trade cycle. However, the lack of money neutrality increases the Gini co-efficient and the middle class dwindles.

This salient point but subtle and important if you understand the root cause of inequality. That is, with monetary stimulus, which is the modus operandi of the Federal Reserve Bank of the US, there is always a first receiver and a last receiver of benefits. The larger financial institutions and the first receivers, the people who work in retail and lower-paid jobs are the last receivers. Fiat money is not neutral money.

Both parties have a similar stance on this issue.

The GOPs stance on social and moral issues

Republicans represent family values and loyal to moral issues, rather than base their issues on polls. Examples of this are issues such as prayer in school, or pro-life. Family matters and morals are the fabric that holds society together.

On the extreme, Libertarians may have a very positive viewpoint regarding less government intervention and low taxes, however, theyre very loose in terms of moral stances.

Democrats are not as pure as they make themselves out to be

ATLANTA One look at the results of Georgias primary election last week led many Republicans to believe it was the product of Democratic meddling. Former President Donald J. Trumps recruited challengers lost in grand fashion in his most sought-after races: David Perdue was routed by Gov. Brian Kemp by more than 50 percentage points, while Representative Jody Hice fell to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger by nearly 20.

Mr. Trump and his allies pointed to so-called Democratic crossover voters as the cause of their shellackings. In Georgias open primary system, Democrats and Republicans can vote in the other partys primary if they wish, and more than 37,000 people cast early ballots in this years Republican primary election after voting in the Democratic primary in 2020.

Some Democrats, for their part, staked a claim to these voters, arguing that they had crossed over to strategically support candidates who reject Mr. Trumps falsehoods about the 2020 election. Most of the crossover voters, the Democrats said, would return to the party in November.
