The Super Bowl Is Different From Other Major Sports Events In That The Nfl Which Controls The Ticket Inventory Offers No Open
AP Photo/Matt Slocum
ATLANTA He still gets frequent requests for Super Bowl tickets. But he has noticed the asks often come with a laugh now.
Its gotten to where its almost a joke, said Brett Daniels, chief operating officer of the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee. I think everybody realizes were here to put on the game, not sell tickets.
While the eyes of the sports world will be on Atlanta on Feb. 3, local residents figure to be heavily outnumbered in Mercedes-Benz Stadium by fans of the participating teams and other out-of-towners.
In fact, of the Falcons roughly 60,000 season-ticket holders, only 1,344 are known to have been guaranteed the right to purchase Super Bowl LIII tickets at face value. Those fortunate folks own Falcons season tickets in the most exclusive club seats, having paid $45,000 for personal seat licenses, and were assured the right to buy Super Bowl tickets as part of their PSL contracts. They wont get their same premium seats for the big game, but theyll be in the building.
For most other Atlantans unless youre a Falcons player or coach or maybe an executive with one of the teams corporate sponsors or suite holders the two most likely ways to get Super Bowl tickets are by purchasing them on the secondary market or by buying hospitality packages that bundle game tickets with pregame parties and other perks.
In either case, the cost is considerable.

Best Seats For Great Views Of The Field At Gillette Stadium
Although many of the top rated views for football games at Gillette Stadium come from being near midfield, there are a number of other factors which fans would be wise to take into consideration when searching for tickets. Finding a balance between viewing height and proximity to the field is important here, as is knowing which spots have great natural angles and which spots have potential pitfalls.
Being on the lower seating tier is always a great option for feeling close to the action, however just as it can be said for many other stadiums across the NFL, Gillette does have some less than ideal views in the very front seating rows. If you prefer to be on the 100 level and want to ensure a fantastic view, we recommend searching in rows 20 and higher across sections 107-112 and 129-134.
The positioning between the 20 yard lines gives you those desirable sideline viewing angles, but more important is your seating height in the upper half of the section. Avoiding those lower rows allows you enough elevation to be able to see over the sidelines and have a clear view of the action on the field.
But if the lower level isnt a must for you, and theres a bit more money in the budget to spend on tickets, some of the best views in the house will be found on the second level in the Putnam Club sections near midfield. The viewing height from this seating deck is superb, allowing you to have phenomenal viewing angles to all areas of the field.
Brief History Of The New England Patriots
The New England Patriots, often referred to as the “Pats” by sports journalists and fans, are a professional American football team based just outside of Greater Boston. Their home games are played in the town of Foxboro, Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium which opened in 2002. The Pats are a member of the Eastern Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League . In 1971, the team owners changed the clubs name from the original Boston Patriots to the New England Patriots after they relocated the team to Foxboro.
The Patriots were an original member of the American Football League and joined the NFL in the 1970 merger of the two leagues. They qualified for the playoffs four times before making it to the Super Bowl in January of 1986 , where they lost to the Chicago Bears. The team also appeared in Super Bowl XXXI in 1997 with the same result, a loss to the Green Bay Packers. Between 2001 and 2005, the Patriots joined the Dallas Cowboys as the only two organizations to win three Super Bowls in four years . The 2007 Patriots team became the fourth NFL franchise to complete a perfect regular season en route to Super Bowl XL, where the New York Giants went on to shock the world in dramatic fashion.
