Lower Level Side Seating
It will be difficult to find a better seat than some of the top options in the Lower Level Side sections for a performance featuring a traditional setup at Gillette Stadium. Seats on the field might get you closer, but in the lower level side you get the advantages of better seating height to the elevated stage, and the feel of a permanent seats.
Among the best here are sections 112 and 129 for a show with the typical end stage configuration, which feel close to the action while still having a good viewing angle to the center of the stage. Seats in sections 113-114 and 127-128 are also very close, however you will begin to have more of a side stage view here, especially in the higher numbered seats of section 114 and the lower numbered seats of section 127.
Most sections here have 37 numbered rows of seating, with row 1 being located closest to field level. The lower numbered rows therefore get you closer to the performance, but it is important to note that the concourse entry is located at the very top of the section, leaving you with long walks for trips tot he restrooms and concession stands. For a well-rounded outing, we recommend compromising and go with a middle row which provides a good viewing height and prevents a monster 30 row walk to and from the seats.
Consider The Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you’ll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage – like those in/near or above sections Section 115, Section 116, Section 117 and Section 118. It’s unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you – and you’re more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you’re on the shorter side , consider field seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst field ticketholders is that they can’t see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 105 and 136 are not well-angled towards the stage – leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like Sections CL28 and CL13.

If you are looking for a more affordable ticket option for an end stage performance at Gillette Stadium, the Upper Level Side sections offer some decent options at a fraction of the cost of a lower level seat.
The very best of the seats here for a traditional configuration are found in the lower rows of sections 311-312 and 329-330, where the proximity to the stage helps curb some of the deflation of being so high up in the stadium. It is important to stick to rows 7 and lower whenever possible, as the sections here are split into a lower and upper portion by a set of stairs. The upper portion begins at row 8 and feels much higher and further due to the additional set of stairs you need to climb from the upper level concourse. Rows 1-7 have a much closer feel to the performance, and also keep you near the conveniences of the concourse.
If you find yourself searching in sections any further north than section 308 or 333 for a traditionally configured performance, we recommend just opting for the best priced ticket you can find in rows 7 and lower as the views will feel far no matter what.
Sections on the Upper Level Side run as high as row 26 at the very top, with rows 8 and higher located above the concourse, and rows 7 and lower beneath.

The most common seating layout at Gillette Stadium for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 115, Section 116 and Section 117. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.

Optum Lounge Is The Place To Be
We cannot believe how lucky we were to get tickets to the Optum Lounge for the Patriots vs Titans game on Jan. 13. It was AWESOME! We could stay inside and watch the game thru the large glass windows or on the large screen tv’s, or we could go outside and stand right under the field goal posts and watch them score touchdowns. It was a cold night so sometimes we were inside and sometimes we were outside. The bathrooms are convenient. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The chairs were comfortable. The only complaint is the parking. Gillette Stadium really needs to improve their parking situation. We waited over 45 mins to get into the parking lot at the stadium to find they only had two booth collectors taking money to park. No wonder it took so long to get everyone into the parking lot. This would NEVER happen at the Dolphins Stadium and it would NEVER happen at the Tampa Bucs Stadium either . Gillette needs to improve their parking situation.

Foxboro Officials Worried Gillette Stadium Improvements Will Cut Into Town’s Revenue
Gillette Stadiums Optum Field Lounge makes its debut at the Patriots preseason home opener on Aug. 13.
FOXBORO – Construction of the luxury Optum Field Lounge at Gillette Stadium, which involved the removal of more than 2,000 seats, could cause the town to lose tens of thousands of dollars in potential ticket fee revenue, Finance Director Randy Scollins said Wednesday.
While not disputing the Kraft Group’s right to remove seats, town officials are looking into whether the Patriots organization, which charges ticket holders an additional fee for access to that new prime game viewing area, should pay the town some of that revenue.
In a July 28 letter to the town, the Kraft Group concluded that “no ticket fees should be payable on the revenues from the Optum Field Lounge.”
Scollins said the town gets $1.52 for each admission to a New England Patriots game. The stadium had about 68,000 seats, but about 2,200 were removed to build the “OFL” – the new field lounge.
The lounge has a capacity of almost 1,000 patrons – a net loss of 1,200 traditional seats, or $401,000 in ticket revenue over the life of the lease, Scollins said.
Also, he said, the stadium charges season ticket holders a second fee – a membership fee – for access to the OFL.
“I think their business model – two admission fees – should result in the town receiving two ticket fees,” Scollins said.

I found the Optum field passes to be a challenge when I was working at the patriots. I had to work with a unique color scheme and and also represent the feeling have that end zone “field view”.
