What Powers The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition

The 10th Anniversary Edition 1500 will be available with two different engine options – the 5.7-liter V-8 with eTorque mill, and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine.

The 5.7-liter, V-8 HEMI engine churns out 410 horses and 395 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox and can be had with either a two-wheel- or a four-wheel-drive layout. It features an eTorque mild-hybrid system that adds another 130 pound-feet of torque. The maximum towing capacity is rated at 12,750 pounds.

As for the other option, it is the third-gen V-6 EcoDiesel engine that displaces at three liters. It puts out 260 ponies and 480 pound-feet of twist. Power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission here as well. It is a rather responsive engine since it comes with an additional 20 horses and 60 pound-feet of torque over the second-gen EcoDiesel, and also features a water-cooled turbocharger with variable geometry that helps respond better to your throttle inputs. The maximum towing capacity is rated at 12,560 pounds.

Since this special edition is all about luxury, most of the changes are on the inside. Ram has made use of real wood, metal, and leather elements all around the cabin. Upping the levels of plushness it already offers on the standard Limited trim, the Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition comes with:

• Quilted leather-wrapped seats and door inserts
• Suede headliner
• Unique detailing on A-pillar and visors
• A 10th Anniversary badge on the center console
• New unique graphics on the instrument cluster
• 19-speaker premium sound system
• Metal pedal kit
• Unique shifter center cap

The interior also features a new Indigo/Sea Salt Grey theme along with Aluminum Litho bezels.

On the outside, the changes and additions arent too drastic.

The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary will be available in an exclusive Blue Shade, and with a Multifunction tailgate, a Mopar center-mounted bed step, and adjustable cargo tie-down hooks.

Since the Limited trim is offered only in the Crew Cab configuration, its no different for this special edition either. Ram hasnt mentioned anything about the truck bed, but we believe it will be available with the 57-foot bed as well as the 64-foot bed.

This 2022 RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition comes through with some additional goodies that make it more of an eye-catcher, but the real stars of the show are the new BRINK B202 Insurgent wheels in Royal Bronze with Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme tires.

This RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition is more than your average pickup truck. Of course, theres the standard 3.6-liter V-6 with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque with mild hybrid system for a few extra MPGs or an optional 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. of torque to drive the rear or all-four wheels. This one has the EcoDiesel 3.0-liter V-6 engine with 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque for the oil-burning fans out there.

For this fitment, the RAM 1500 Limited Night Edition was outfitted with the BRINK B202 Insurgent wheels in a factory spec plus setup that features a 22×10 size with a +12 offset for no rubbing. The rubber of choice is 305/45/22 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme that feature staged block edges and tie-bars for reduced road noise and comfort paired with an aggressive shoulder and sidewall blocks, and aggressive biting block edges for superior off-road and snow performance.

A 2022 Ram 1500 Tradesman in 2WD Quad Cab form has a manufacturers suggested retail price of $35,900. In 4WD form, that same truck, also equipped with a 6-ft, 4-inch bed, starts at $39,400. The destination charge on all 2022 Ram pickups is a substantial $1,795.

Other 2022 Ram 1500 V6 pickups include the HFE , the Big Horn/Lone Star , and the Rebel .

If you want a standard V8, that means stepping up to a Laramie or a Limited Longhorn, which have beginning prices of $49,250 and $56,980, respectively. V8s are optional in the Tradesman, Big Horn, Lone Star, and Rebel. Of note, the Lone Star is essentially a Big Horn model sold in Texas.

The new Ram 1500 SouthFork, a replacement for the Longhorn 10th Anniversary, starts at $61,620, while the Ram Limited 1500 the sales of which support a non-profit group that fights AIDs and COVID-19 goes on sale in December at $63,250.

The priciest 2022 Ram 1500s are the TRX models. The Ram 1500 TRX starts at $77,880 , and the new TRX Ignition Edition starts at a healthy $99,070.

Destination is $1,895.

The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition is priced at $60,175 plus a $1,675 destination. For the stuff thats offered, the pricing isnt too bad. Such commemorative editions tend to cost quite a bit, but this is a premium of only $2,825 over the two-wheel-drive Ram 1500 Limited with the 57-foot box.

Theres no word on how many examples will be built, so it isnt a limited edition, per se. Perhaps, it will be available for six months or a year, depending on the popularity.

Driving The 2022 Ram 1500 Quad Cab

The 2022 Ram 1500 deserves praise for having a smooth ride, responsive steering, and good agility.

Much of the credit for the Ram 1500s refined ride goes to the independent rear suspension, which employs coil springs instead of leaf springs. Powertrain sophistication is also enhanced by the eTorque system, which supplements the power delivery in a refined fashion and makes for smooth automatic restarts.

It wouldnt be wrong to say that Ram brought luxuriousness to the pickup truck segment. Take the 1500, for instance. The higher trims are plush enough to put similarly priced sedans and SUVs to shame. This has even forced companies like Chevy and GMC, and Ford to up the ante and come up with premium offerings.

Ram knows this, too, and isnt very modest about it. To commemorate the 1500 Limited truck, the epitome of luxuriousness in the Ram 1500 lineup, the automaker has introduced a new 10th Anniversary Edition. The way Ram hyped it, it seemed like the truck will wear a big sticker price but, it comes at a premium of just $3,000 over the standard Limited model, which isnt too bad.
