Injuries are always unfortunate especially when it happens in the preseason. The injury bug hit the Giants in the second quarter as tight end Evan Engram left the game in the second quarter with a calf injury. Engram was having a terrific training camp, and the Giants can ill-afford to be without their best tight end.
Calf injuries can be tricky to recover from and at this moment Engrams status for Week 1 is unclear.

New York Giants Making A Late Case To Make The Roster
There were a few players that were on the roster bubble that made some plays on Sunday night that helped their chances of making the roster.
- Cornerback Sam Beal was second on the team in tackles with six, including a tackle on a two-point conversion attempt. The Giants are very deep in the secondary, but Beal has been impressive late in camp, and could find his way on the 53-man roster.
- Tight end Nakia Griffin-Stewart caught three passes for 30 yards and was in with the first-team offense in their goal-line offense. Depending on the severity of Evan Engrams calf injury, Griffin-Stewart may earn the final tight end spot on the roster.

The Patriots gave the ball away on the opening possession of the second half as Matt Milano tipped a pass that was picked off by Levi Wallace.
And guess what? The Bills made it five possessions and five touchdowns as Josh Allen fired a 34-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders and even though Tyler Bass had his second extra point blocked, the Bills are now up 33-3.
This time, it took Allen just six plays to cover 58 yards. He is now 16 of 20 for 223 yards with three TD passes.

Finally, the Patriots found the end zone with 4:12 left in the third quarter as Mac Jones threw a three-yard TD pass to Kendrick Bourne who got himself wide open in the back left corner of the end zone.
Bourne had the biggest play to get the Patriots in position as he caught a 43-yard pass from Jones on a ball that Bills cornerback Dane Jackson just missed breaking up.
The drive covered 75 yards in 11 plays and took 4:36.

The wind will be calm this time around and that likely means more offense from both teams.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen said the toughest part about playing against Bill Belichicks defense is that he always changes how he plays against you.
A lot of magic … with Allen, got to be ready for everything, Belichick said this week. Really running and attacking the defense, this guy, hes a problem.

New Yorks First Team Defense Was Terrific
The first team Giants defense showed why they have one of the best defenses in the league. They kept the Patriots offense out of the end zone in the first half and held Cam Newton to complete two out of five passes for 10 yards. Then late in the first quarter, Blake Martinez made the play of the game when he wrestled the ball away from Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Myers for an interception.
The coverage from the secondary was outstanding as Patriots receivers were unable to create separation. The defense looks to be in mid-season form.

New York Giants Offensive Line Continues To Be A Concern
The offensive line and in particular left tackle Andrew Thomas struggled mightily. Jones was sacked twice in the first quarter and pressured often.
The Giants also seem uncertain on who their starting right tackle will be. Nate Solder started the game but was then replaced by Matt Peart on the third possession of the game. Solder would return in the second quarter and the lined performed better.
Considering the Giants will face two terrific pass rushers in Von Miller and Bradley Chubb in Week 1, you have to be concerned how the line will fare against the Broncos front seven. Expect for the Giants to acquire an offensive lineman on the waiver wire once teams make their final cuts on Tuesday.

Case Keenum and KhaDarel Hodge spend a lot of time practicing together and have developed chemistry.
They put it to use Sunday.
Keenum showed why Cleveland invested in him to back up Baker Mayfield, throwing a 7-yard touchdown pass to Hodge while leading the Browns to a 17-13 win over the New York Giants in an exhibition game.
Keenum connected with Hodge to end Clevelands opening possession. The veteran QB finished 9 of 12 for 74 yards with an interception while playing most of the first half.
Case makes things a lot easier, said Hodge, a special teams standout who is trying to earn a roster spot among Clevelands talented receivers. He can talk about coverages. He can talk about how to set up a route or what you do in certain coverage or how to run a certain route in certain coverages and hes a great guy.
He just brings a lot to the game.
The Browns rested Mayfield, running back Nick Chubb, All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett and most of their starters for the second straight week.
