One of Mr Trumps most controversial moves in his four-year term was removing the USA from the Paris Climate Agreement, in which 195 signatories set voluntary limits on greenhouse gas emissions.
Under Mr Biden, the USA rejoined the agreement in February 2021 and the current administration has sought to distance itself from Mr Trumps denial of climate change.
The Biden administration reversed Mr Trumps decision to continue with the Keystone XL pipeline something environmental activists and Native Americans have been fighting for decades but is continuing to run the similarly controversial Dakota Access pipeline.
While Mr Bidens intentions at home might be honourable, the current deadlock between huge powers like the US and the EU and developing countries over fossil fuel emissions gives clarity to the actual aims of worlds superpowers when it comes to halting the deadly effects of global warming.
A conclusion was meant to be drawn on Friday night but developing countries are trying their best to get the US and the EU to listen regarding the damage that has already been caused and how much money should go toward repairing it.
US climate envoy John Kerry is staying firm on key US positions around money for developing countries, and he has been keen to defend how much cash the US will give to help worse off countries adapt to climate change.

New emails and documents released by a congressional committee investigating the Trump administrations handling of the pandemic show the extent to which top White House officials interfered in the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions efforts to warn Americans about Covid-19.
The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis has conducted interviews over the last several months about how former President Donald Trump and his closest confidantes, including former White House adviser Scott Atlas and son-in-law Jared Kushner, tried to steer the course of the federal response, sidestepping the interagency process.
On Friday, the committee released emails and transcripts with former senior CDC officials about the White Houses attempts to sideline the agency at critical moments at the beginning of the U.S. outbreak.
The emails and transcripts detail how in the early days of 2020 Trump and his allies in the White House blocked media briefings and interviews with CDC officials, attempted to alter public safety guidance normally cleared by the agency and instructed agency officials to destroy evidence that might be construed as political interference.
The CDC did not respond to a request for comment.
Redfield eventually signed the order despite Cetrons opposition.

LOS ANGELES In an unorthodox move, President Donald Trumps reelection campaign released a new ad asking viewers to let President Trump know that we appreciate what hes doing for America.
The presidents 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale claims President Trump has achieved more during his time in office than any president in history. He goes on to urge supporters to call the Commander in Chief to thank him for his achievements.
The one-minute campaign spot is loaded with blue collar workers, the American flag and various clips of Trump. Parscale says the economy is booming and unemployment is at a historic low.
First 2020 ad? This Trump ad, featuring his campaign manager , just aired on CNN. Its a minute long and asks viewers to call an 800 number to leave a thank you message for POTUS. I called the number and it leads to a fundraising appeal

Midway through the ad, several smiling supporters thank the president.
A video of the ad was tweeted by journalist Yashar Ali Monday night and quickly gained traction, with 300,000 views as of Tuesday night. Ali said the ad ran on CNN, though its unclear whether the spot was broadcast locally or nationwide.
Hotline callers are asked to state their name and leave a brief message to thank Trump. They are then prompted to donate to the presidents reelection campaign.

Years ago, while I was seriously dating a wonderful woman I had met at the church we both attended, I was having lunch with a friend who knew us both.

This is not a reference to members of the progressive left who would maintain their hatred of Trump even if he was scientifically proven to be the second incarnation of Christ.
These are just a few of the things by which President Trump enabled so many people to once again be proud Americans.
A case in point: that Courts decision last week to finally overturn Roe v. Wade.

Maybe its because the folks in Conservatism Inc. are all just so awed by the presidents performance that theyre struggling to find the right words to describe its magnificence.
I looked around National Review, the Federalist, the Daily Caller, Fox News, and the Daily Wire. Lotta content about how bad the media is. None of the sites are very big fans of antifa. But not many pro-Trump attaboys. Trump couldnt even get a pat on the back from Tucker Carlson.

I popped up onto the Twitter feeds of some big Trump defenders on the Hill to see if I could find some Real American Patriots over there. No dice.

Whatever you think of President Biden, the fact that he is sitting in the White House and former President Donald Trump isnt is the best thing the United States has going for it in this present crisis.
Russias invasion of Ukraine demands a response that is both firm and restrained, a hard balance to achieve because it requires a willingness to punish Vladimir Putin while at the same time not allowing the cycle of escalation to spin out of control. That requires a combination of good judgment and diplomatic skills to execute correctly. Biden hasnt been perfect, but so far his administration has mostly found the sweet spot. Good for him, and us.
Trump, meanwhile, is out there doing what he always does: Saying provocative, dangerous stuff.
