Biden Raising Gas Prices On Purpose Top Republican Says

A top Republican said on Friday that President Brain-Dead Biden is raising gas prices on purpose.

Sen. Lindsey Graham made the remarks when he was asked on Fox Businesss Wall Street with Maria Bartiromo to respond to Bidens recent comments where he said raising gas prices is part of an incredible transition.

I think thats the main takeaway from his statement, that he is telling the American people theyre doing this to you on purpose, that the transition period is being imposed by policies coming from the Biden administration, he said.

This is a conscious effort by the Biden administration to destroy fossil fuel production in the United States, to get away from fossil fuels, and youre living this experience. This is an irresponsible shutting down of oil and gas production in America, making us more dependent on oil and gas from bad actors, and its destroying the American economy, he continued.

Biden characterized the soaring cost of gasoline in the United States as an incredible transition on Monday while taking questions from reporters during his trip to Japan.

When it comes to the gas prices, were going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when its over, well be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over, he said alongside Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Biden went on to take credit for gas prices not being even worse.

Use Of The Title Doctor

It has been contrary to custom in the United States to address holders of the J.D. as “doctor”. It was noted in the 1920s, when the title was widely used by people with doctorates and others, that the J.D. stood apart from other doctorates in this respect. This continues to be the case in general today.

In the late 1960s, the rising number of American law schools awarding J.D.s led to debate over whether lawyers could ethically use the title ‘doctor’. Initial informal ethics opinions, based on the Canons of Professional Ethics then in force, came down against this. These were then reinforced with a full ethics opinion that maintained the ban on using the title in legal practice, as a form of self-laudation , but allowed the use of the title in academia “if the school of graduation thinks of the J.D. degree as a doctor’s degree”. These opinions only led to more debate.

The introduction of the 1969 Code of Professional Responsibility seemed to settle the question in favour of allowing the use of the title in those states where the code was adopted. There was some dispute over whether only the Ph.D.-level should properly be seen as granting the title, but ethics opinions made it clear that the new Code allowed J.D.-holders to be called ‘doctor’, while reaffirming that the older Canons did not.

The university was founded as South Carolina College on December 19, 1801, by an act of the initiated by in an effort to promote harmony between the and the . On January 10, 1805, having an initial enrollment of nine students, the college commenced classes with a traditional classical curriculum. The first president was the minister and theologian Reverend . He was an alumnus of , with an honorary degree from . Before coming to the college, Maxcy had served as the second president of Brown and the third president of . Maxcy’s tenure lasted from 1804 through 1820.

When South Carolina College opened its doors in 1805, the building now known as Rutledge College was the only building on campus. Located one block southeast of the State Capitol, it served as an administrative office, academic building, residence hall, and chapel. However, the master plan for the original campus called for a total of eleven buildings, all facing a large lush gathering area. In 1807, the original President’s House was the next building to be erected. The building now known as DeSaussure College followed shortly thereafter, and the remaining eight buildings were constructed over the next several decades. When completed, all eleven buildings formed a U-shape open to Sumter Street. This modified quadrangle became known as the Horseshoe.

Lindsey Graham Issues Warning To Democrats ‘If We Get Back The Senate’

In light of the recent criticism lobbed between President Donald Trump and a group of progressive freshmen, GOP Senator Lindsey Graham interjected with his opinion Monday morning, claiming the Democrats were “a bunch of communists” who are “anti-America.”

Trump said in a series of “racist” and “xenophobic” tweets, as critics have labeled them, over the weekend that Democratic newcomers Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusettswho’ve become known as “The Squad”should return to the “crime infested places” they “came from.” All four minority women are U.S. citizens and all but Omar were born in America. Omar is from Somalia and fled as a refugee.

The remarks came at the end of a week that saw the rift between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the group boil over from behind closed doors and into the public sphere, including claims from Ocasio-Cortez that Pelosi was racially targeting the women of color.

“We all know that AOC and this crowd are a bunch of communists,” Graham said on Fox and Friends. “They hate Israel, they hate our own country, they’re calling the guards along our borderthe border patrol agentsconcentration camp guards. They accuse people who support Israel of doing it for ‘the Benjamins. They’re anti-Semitic. They’re anti-America.”

Pelosi didn’t back down from the chiding she privately offered her Democratic members

History Of Legal Training In England

The nature of the J.D. can be better understood by a review of the context of the history of legal education in England. The teaching of law at Cambridge and Oxford Universities was mainly for philosophical or scholarly purposes and not meant to prepare one to practice law.:434,435 The universities only taught civil and canon law but not the that applied in most jurisdictions. Professional training for practicing common law in England was undertaken at the , but over time the training functions of the Inns lessened considerably and apprenticeships with individual practitioners arose as the prominent medium of preparation.:434,436 However, because of the lack of standardisation of study, and of objective standards for appraisal of these apprenticeships, the role of universities became subsequently important for the education of lawyers in the English-speaking world.:436

The 1728 act was amended in 1821 to reduce the period of the required apprenticeship to three years for graduates in either law or arts from Oxford, Cambridge, and Dublin, as “the admission of such graduates should be facilitated, in consideration of the learning and abilities requisite for taking such degree”. This was extended in 1837 to cover the newly established universities of Durham and London, and again in 1851 to include the new Queen’s University of Ireland.

South Carolina Democrat Aiming To Unseat Lindsey Graham Raises $139 Million In Quarter

2 Min Read

WASHINGTON – The South Carolina Democrat challenging Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham nearly doubled his fundraising this spring, his campaign said on Tuesday, in the latest sign of the mounting campaign hurdles facing Republicans in the U.S. Senate.

Jaime Harrison, a former South Carolina Democratic Party chairman, raised $13.9 million during the second quarter of 2020, vs. $7.3 million in the first quarter, which the campaign described as a state fundraising record.

Harrison faces an uphill climb in trying to defeat Graham in the Nov. 3 election. But his ability to raise large sums against the long-time Republican incumbent and ally of President Donald Trump is yet another sign that Republicans are playing defense as they seek to preserve their Senate majority.

Trumps sagging poll numbers and Democratic animosity against his leading allies in Congress have deepened this years challenge for Senate Republicans, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The Harrison campaign did not provide further details about its second-quarter fundraising.

Despite the Democrats success with donors, Graham still had more than twice as much financial firepower heading into the final months of the campaign.

The Republican had $13.9 million in cash on hand, vs. $6.7 million for the Democrat, as of May 20, according to the latest comparable documents available on the Federal Election Commission website.

Graham said that should he and other GOP senators adopt a similar tactic in blocking the Democrat’s reconciliation package, he expects similar admiration.

“Hey, Vice President Harris, if you think these people are heroes, well then I expect you to show up and pat us on the back,” Graham said.
