Top Of The World / Lost Trails Atv Park
Just near Scranton, PA, you can find this 6.8 km loop trail recommended for riding between April and November. You might encounter dogs and walkers, but its a great place to take in excellent riding and beautiful scenery. Youll be on private property, so you need to make sure youre there during daylight only.
Dunmore Reservoir is part of the Lost Trails ATV Park, so youll be close to over 2,000 acres of woodland trails where you can ride ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes. The 2009 Jeep Patriot’s four-cylinder engines offer underwhelming performance, though it has a light handling touch and an available off-road package.
The Patriot is available in either front- or all-wheel-drive versions, and with either a five-speed manual or automatic CVT . The advantage of the CVT is its ability to seamlessly and continuously change the gear ratio to keep the engine in its powerband rather than having a limited number of gears to step through.
Two different engines are offered. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 158 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque comes with the base Sport 4×2, but it provides barely adequate performance. Although the CVT can keep the smaller engine near its power peak, it’s still little, and either engine with the CVT is at a disadvantage when the 2009 Jeep Patriot is compared to its peers. In fact, Edmunds states, “When equipped with the CVT, the Patriot accelerates sluggishly compared with other compact SUVs, and the lack of fixed ratios keeps the revs on a noisy boil.” ConsumerGuide goes on to say, “Adequate pull from a stop with either transmission, though models with the CVT struggle in passing and merging.”
The Jeep Patriot Provides Comfortable Seating But Falls Short In Cargo Capacity As Well As Fit And Finish
The 2009 Jeep Patriot has comfortable seating and space for passengers, but its cheap interior could use more cargo room. A new engine compartment and interior floor insulation reduce noise, while revised suspension tuning helps provide a smoother, more comfortable ride.
According to Cars.com, “Two rows of seats provide room for five occupants” are offered. ConsumerGuide says, “Highmounted seats contribute to generous legroom,” while Edmunds remarks, “those of taller stature will appreciate this SUV’s voluminous headroom.” Seating is well designed front seats aren’t that supportive, but due to the boxy design, there’s plenty of headroom, plus even more head- and legroom in back for adults. Just two adults will fit comfortably in the 2009 Jeep Patriot, due to the narrower body and lack of shoulder room.
With its folding rear seat and folding passenger seat, the Jeep Patriot does provide cargo space at the temporary expense of passenger room. As Cars.com points out, “With the front passenger seat and rear seats folded…the Patriot can hold an 8-foot ladder.” Although it has the style and proportions of larger Jeeps, the 2009 Jeep Patriot can’t compare to bigger sport utilities in cargo capacity. Edmunds refers to its cargo capacity as “subpar.”

Group Purchases Land Near Jericho State Park For Off
Ex-Pat Ninkovich, MOMs owner seek to enhance tourism efforts in region
A partnership that includes the owner of MOMS and retired New England Patriots football star Rob Ninkovich has purchased 1,300 acres next to Jericho Mountain State Park in Berlin to develop into an off-road recreation park.
In a release, Four Wheeler Holdings LLC, said it wants to develop the property to include riding opportunities, facilities to host off-road events and expanded multipurpose trails open year-round to hikers as well as other outdoor enthusiasts.
The partnership purchased the property on Nov. 5 and will work with local and state business and recreation officials to assess how future development can complement and enhance the areas off-road tourism, according to the release.
Joel Wheeler, president of Four Wheeler Holdings and owner of MOMS , called the project an opportunity to create an off-road destination that is accessible by area trail networks and that increases year-round powersports tourism in New Hampshires North Country.
We want the propertys trails to connect with the areas outstanding existing trail networks to serve off-road riders, snowmobilers, hikers and bicyclists, Wheeler said, adding that to help us best assess development and preservation possibilities, we are consulting with riders, off-road organizations, business development officials, forestry management and vehicle manufacturers.

Mountain Ridge Atv Trails
Another area of 3,000 acres ideal for dirt bikes and ATVs can be found near Tamaqua, PA the Mountain Ridge ATV Trails. Near Somerset and Indian Lake, you can find green hills, dirt tracks, and bogs.
More than 140 miles of trails await in this park, and youll also have access to special events, night rides, a campsite, a kiddie track, cabin rentals, and more! As far as ATV trails in PA state parks go, this is a fantastic spot.
They are open all week from Memorial Day to Labor Day and then on weekends only in May, September, and October. The trails close every year in November for the winter.

The 2009 Jeep Patriot Offers A Safe City
The 2009 Jeep Patriot is mechanically similar to both the more softly styled Jeep Compass and the more carlike Dodge Caliber, but the Patriot gets boxier, chunkier styling that both looks better and is more functional.
The Jeep Patriot gets a slightly redesigned instrument panel with a smoother look and chrome accents for 2009. A new center console has a split lid for added storage space, and new door trim panels feature padded armrests.
A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 158 horsepower comes with the base Sport 4×2, but it provides barely adequate performance. The 172-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that’s included in the rest of the line is considerably more energetic but not peppy. Both are offered with a five-speed manual or CVT automatic, and the Patriot can be had with either front- or all-wheel drive. Both engines can be very loud during hard acceleration with the CVT, as it allows the engine to rev near redline for a sustained period. For 2009 the Patriot gets a number of small changes, including a new engine compartment and interior floor insulation to reduce noise, while revised suspension tuning helps provide a smoother, more comfortable ride. However, these changes together don’t do enough to silence the coarse boom of the engine.
A Trail Rated package for the 2009 Jeep Patriot includes a low-range transmission, skid plates, heavy-duty cooling, and hill descent control, while tougher suspension boosts ground clearance by an inch.

GROVETON, NH The MOMS chain of New England power sports stores has added another dealership, picked up a partner in an ex-New England Patriots player, and announced plans for an expansive off-road recreational park in northern New Hampshire.
Absolute Powersports sells CF Moto, Honda, Polaris and Yamaha products and has been owned for the past 14 years by Jim Tees. The stores name will change to MOMS Jericho with the start of 2021.
Ninkovich, a two-time Super Bowl champion during his eight-year career with the NFLs Patriots, will be a full partner in the store and a part owner of the property.
