Q. Do your LED strips attract insects if I install them on my porch?
Most of our LED strip lights do not produce UV light, which insects are attracted to. This is not to say that all bugs arent attracted to LED lights, but most cant see the light that LEDs produce. We also sell UV led strip lights, if you indeed like insects.
Q: Does Flexfire LEDs have any products that produce Infra-Red or Ultraviolet light?
We produce an UV-A LED strip with a peaks at 399nm or 365nm. We can also produce UV-C light bars and other special application lighting products depending on your needs.
An IR strip can be produced via special order. All special orders are subject to longer lead times for manufacturing and shipping purposes.
Q: How can I install LED lights strips in my motorhome
There are variety of ways to design your RV or motorhome with our LED strip lights. Generally speaking, most automobiles have a 12V DC output so a transformer is rarely needed. Should I Invest In An Led Flat Panel Instead Of An Led Troffer
Flat panels should be considered for every application where you would use a traditional fluorescent troffer. For those looking for LED drop ceiling lights, they also fit into that category, as most troffer light fixtures are also designed to fit snugly into the drop ceilings commonly used in most offices.
Along with some other uniquely shaped flat panels, most lighting manufacturers are producing standard 1×4, 2×2, and 2×4 flat panels so that they can be used in drop ceilings. However, that is not the only application. These LED flat panel lights can also be mounted directly to a drywall ceiling, increasing the possible areas and rooms youll be able to use them in. Since they can be as small as 1/2″ thick, there is no need to recess them. This fact also greatly expands the diversity of installation possibilities for LED flat panel fixtures. It is possible to mount these to a wall, under a cabinet, or suspend them from the ceiling. Alternatively, if you are simply replacing lighting in a drop-ceiling, flat panels work there too.
If you are looking for the thinnest fixtures then you will need a model described as “Edge Lit”. The other option would be “Direct Lit”, a model which tends to be closer to 4″ thick. Some of these models come with an option to add an emergency backup battery, so keep that in mind for your mounting location, as that can impact whether or not you want to opt for the battery or not.

LED lighting can really move the needle in reducing the consumption of electricity for your building or facility. If we look at specific wattages, a typical 2×4 fluorescent troffer light can utilize up to 160 watts per fixture. If we examine the same fixture utilizing LED technology instead, we see that the same fixture utilizes between 30 and 50 watts per fixture. This results in a 50% to 80% reduction in cost savings just by making the switch to LED.
To put this in dollars, by converting your lighting to LED you could save up to $81 per fixture, per year in energy costs alone. Depending on the size of your facility this can really add up over time.
