The Urban Meyer era, and all that it entailed, has seemingly left a mark on the Jaguars roster. With just two games left, they truly look like theyve given up. The play that sums it all up? Zach Wilsons 52-yard TD run, scrambling out of the pocket. He wasnt juking or eluding anybody, yet nobody managed to tackle him up the sideline. Many are marking it as a highlight play for Wilson. At the same time, I cant get the image of linebackers and safeties simply overrunning him, trying to hand tackle him, or generally making poor attempts to bring him down.
Jacksonville will once again face the challenges of a rebuild in the offseason. They may now have their franchise quarterback that is yet to be determined. Nonetheless, they still need a roster full of talent, a new coaching staff, and a brand new belief that they can be a good football team once again.

Mac Jones has not been good in recent weeks. His first half numbers over the last month have been abysmal, and he has thrown four interceptions in his last two games. Jones isnt a mobile threat, so if defenses have keyed in on his tendencies, it will be hard for him to move the chains.
The Patriots have had success running the ball with Damien Harris though. Harris has run for 857 yards and 12 touchdowns, and rookie Rhamondre Stevenson has been able to move the chains too. Thats good considering Harris is questionable this Sunday with a hamstring injury.
These receivers arent anything special. Nelson Agholor is out and Jakobi Meyers is questionable, and that further tests the depth of this position group. Kendrick Bourne will be the main target, while tight end Hunter Henry is a major red zone threat with nine touchdowns.
New England has the best defense in the league. The Patriots rank first in scoring defense , third in total defense , and second in pass defense. They might be without several great players on Sunday though. Matthew Judon has been ruled out, and Donta Hightower, Christian Barmore, J.C. Jackson, and Kyle Duggar are all questionable.

Jacksonville doesnt have a lot of talent on defense. The Jaguars could be without multiple starters because of COVID, but they play hard on this side of the ball and do have talent at linebacker. Josh Allen can get to the quarterback, and Myles Jack is still playing well.

Back to back losses to in-conference rivals the Colts and Bills has them in a much more precarious position in the AFC than they were in just two weeks ago, and although they still hold the 6th seed in the conference with a 9-6 record, several teams at 8-7 are clamoring for their spot in the last two weeks this season.
Lucky for them, the Patriots are playing a team that is just trying to hit a big red reset button on this season. James Robinson tore his Achilles for the Jaguars in last weeks loss to the Jets, sidelining one of the few offensive weapons Jacksonville was fielding. Trevor Lawrence has had all of the ups and downs youd expect of a rookie quarterback, and with Bill Belichick looming, this week could be a big down. Belichick is 23-6 against rookie quarterbacks, and while the Patriots are also fielding a rookie QB in Mac Jones, Jones is asked to do far less with far more than Lawrence has been.
