Great for sporting events, music presentations, etc. Plenty of convenient free parking. Only downside is getting in and out of the campus. Reasonable prices for events and also for refreshments. Seating is pretty good throughout the arena. Have attended many events there.

Having lived near Fairfax of over 30 years and being a graduate of GMU, I have been to the Patriots Center more times than I can count.I have seen everything from GMU Basketball games, to Harlem Globetrotters, to Tina Turner, to Arena Football.I have have always had a really great time and every event I have been to at the Patriots Center. The place is easy to find, has good parking, and the staff at the place has always been very friendly and helpful.This is one of my absolute favorite venues to visit for events!

The EagleBank Arena is the proud home of the Mason mens and womens basketball games and the universitys commencement ceremonies. Its ticket office is located on the Northern Virginia’s George Mason University campus at 4500 Patriot Cir, Fairfax, VA 22030. The arena opened on October 4, 1985 under its original name of the Patriot Center. It was then renamed to EagleBank Arena on May 7, 2015.

Gmu’s Center For The Arts Announces 2021

Live performances will return this fall to the Center for the Arts at George Mason University, as the venue announced its 2021-22 season on Thursday.
The season kicks off Sept. 25 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Art Emerging: A Celebration of Renewal. The family-friendly event celebrates the return to live in-person performances as well as the 20th anniversary of Masons College of Visual and Performing Arts.
It is with overwhelming enthusiasm that we announce our 2021/2022 season of incredible artists, said Director of Programming Adrienne Bryant Godwin. You will be able to join us once again to witness artistic excellence in action Broadway royalty, world music icons, NEA Jazz Masters, as well as some of the most thought-provoking rising cultural leaders. It will be a season to remember, for so many reasons.
Other performers during the season will include Emmy and Tony Award-winning musical theater icon Kristin Chenoweth South African cultural ambassadors Ladysmith Black Mambazo virtuosic husband and wife duo Pinchas Zukerman and Amanda Forsyth with the Jerusalem Quartet the acclaimed Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring world-renowned cellist Kian Soltani the high flying, family-friendly circus act Cirque Éloize bassist Edgar Meyers and the Scottish Ensemble and Latin powerhouse Lila Downs.

Winter 2021 graduates will choose between attending the December 16 Winter Graduation Ceremony or the Patriot Procession.
The Patriot Procession
This informal event takes place at Eagle Bank Arena on December 14-15, 2021.
*NOTE: more time may be added as needed*
The procession features preregistration, a timed check in, and an opportunity for graduates to have their names called as they cross the graduation stage and are professionally photographed.
There are no speeches or ceremony, and families and guests are invited to attend with their graduate. Graduate and their guests have the flexibility to set their own pace.
Regalia is recommended by not required, and informal photo opportunities are available on the concourse level of Eagle Bank Arena.

Traffic Advisory: Patriot Center Event June 27 July 5
From June 27 July 5, the Patriot Center will host a major event, with attendance up to 3,000 per day. Attendees will park in Lots A, C, K, and L. The event will take place from 3:30 p.m. 8 p.m. on June 27 and 9 a.m. 2:30 p.m. on the other days.
Because the Patriot Center is not hosting World Police and Fire Games events, there is no conflict between these two major activities. However, drivers are encouraged to be mindful of the additional traffic and parking impacts from both events on the Fairfax Campus.

Renovations And Recent Events
On February 4, 2012, GMU men’s basketball debuted a new center court scoreboard and set an attendance record against Old Dominion University on homecoming, which then was reached again against James Madison University both games were won by double digits. The Patriot Center also graduates many students of nearby Northern Virginia high schools.
The Patriot Center hosted the sold-out UFC Fight Night: Maynard vs. Diaz on January 11, 2010. That was the first time that the UFC had staged an event in the state of Virginia.
The arena also hosted a couple of games for the 2018 JBA season, despite not having a team representing the state of Virginia.
Due to renovations at Capital One Arena the Washington Mystics played Game 3 of the 2018 WNBA Finals at EagleBank Arena. The Seattle Storm won and it was the final game of the 2018 WNBA season.
