An exciting, innovative and interactive, modern museum experience for all ages. The Kraft family, in an effort to preserve team history and honor the greatest Patriots of all-time, built and opened The Hall in 2008. It has since undergone championship renovations to enhance its Super Bowl Experience exhibit, which takes guests inside the teams six Super Bowl wins. It includes the sparkling Vince Lombardi Super Bowl trophies and championship rings, an interactive that allows guests to virtually make Malcolm Butlers Super Bowl XLIX-clinching interception, and the Anatomy of a Comeback area that breaks down the Super Bowl LI win. The Hall regularly adds to its collection and changes out artifacts and exhibits to ensure a fresh experience.

The Patriots Hall of Fame is located adjacent to Gillette Stadium, right next door to the ProShop.

At Patriot Place Bass Is Big Lure

Hard-hat workers swarmed the two-level, 150,000-square-foot Bass Pro Shops store in Foxborough last week, putting the finishing touches on the chain’s first outlet in New England, part of the much-heralded Patriot Place center.

In a man-made indoor pond, several live turtles were getting used to their accommodations. Nearby, taxidermist-stuffed animals – coyote, fox, turkey, and bobcat – awaited dispersal to other parts of the venue, which includes an arcade where visitors fire toy guns at stuffed animals that respond by waving their tails or standing on hind legs.

Retail specialists predict that when the outdoor and sporting goods megastore opens Wednesday – one of the first at Patriot Place – its ripples will be felt throughout the region.

“They are almost a tourist attraction,” said Richard Fenker of the retail consulting firm Experian Business Strategies. “When they get this big, they become entertainment.”

Bass Pro officials say they do not know how many people will show up for the grand opening, but note that 20,000 came to the grand opening of the chain’s first store in California this year.

The company specializes in fishing, boating, and hunting equipment, but it also sells apparel, camping and hiking gear, and general merchandise. The new store includes an indoor archery range.

“We consider ourselves more than just a sporting goods store,” said Tom Keating, head of promotions for the Missouri-based company. “It’s a whole experience.”

Robert Kraft shows Gov. Deval Patrick the site of the the BassPro Shop at Gillette Stadium.

FOXBORO – Gov. Deval Patrick wants to lure business toMassachusetts, and Thursday he was in town to celebrate snaring anational outdoor chain’s first New England superstore.

Patrick toured the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World underconstruction at Patriot Place, the 1.3 million-square-foot”super-regional lifestyle and entertainment experience” underconstruction next to Gillette Stadium on Route 1.

The governor looked on as the store’s sign was unveiled, signaling that exterior construction of the massive building isalmost complete.

The store – equivalent in square-footage to 3 Gillette Stadiumfootball fields, and slightly larger than a typical Bass Pro – isscheduled to open Nov. 15.

Bass Pro will anchor the south plaza of Patriot Place. The northplaza is expected to open in the fall of 2008.

Patrick praised the Kraft family for developing Patriot Place, and welcomed Bass Pro to Massachusetts.

“Economic development is not just a key feature of ouradministration, it has to be a key feature and element for all ofus,” Patrick said.

“I don’t do all the stuff that is supported by the products thatyou sell, but I look forward to learning,” the governor told BassPro Director of Conservation Martin MacDonald.

Bass Pro expects to hire 250 to 300 associates for the Foxborostore, MacDonald said.

Bass Pro Shops To Anchor Patriot Place Retail Center

Bass Pro Shops

New Englands first Bass Pro Shops sporting goods store is under construction next to Gillette Stadium, as the anchor tenant in a $500 million project led by unlikely developers who know more about running a football team than hunting or fishing.

Were not outdoors people, Jonathan Kraft, president of The Kraft Group, said yesterday from an impromptu construction site stage also occupied by four New England Patriots cheerleaders and Gov. Deval L. Patrick.

With the stadium looming in the distance, construction crews went about their work as a banner was unfurled to reveal a store sign reading, Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World.

Its a retail name that Jonathan Kraft and his father, Kraft Group chairman and CEO Robert Kraft, were unfamiliar with until a few years ago, when they pondered how to get maximum year-round value from 20,000 parking spaces and 700 acres of Kraft-owned land that surround Gillette Stadium in suburban Foxboro, roughly halfway between Boston and Providence. Aside from football season and preseason training camp, the investments see little use.

We had never heard of Bass Pro Shops, so we found that very hard to believe that there could be something out there that unique that we had never heard of, Jonathan Kraft told reporters and dignitaries at a ceremony to provide a sneak peek of the store, due to open Nov. 15.

Its just an amazing, amazing place, and right away, we got it, he said.

Bass Pro Shops Store To Anchor $500m Massachusetts Development

The Springfield-based sporting goods retailer is preparing to open its first Outdoor World store in New England, and the first to play off the popularity of a professional football team.

The 150,000-square-foot hunting, fishing and camping emporium will be an anchor tenant for Patriot Place, a 1.3-million-square-foot outdoor shopping destination taking shape on 700 acres surrounding Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. The Kraft Group, a privately held, family business that owns the Patriots, is bankrolling the $500 million project.

On Aug. 2, the Krafts and Bass Pro officials gave the public a sneak peek into the store, which will feature a large waterfall, a logging-themed laser arcade and hand-painted murals. And as a special tribute to the Patriots, the team logo will be carved in a handrail adjacent to an NFL-themed shop inside the store, according to a team news release.

In their quest for the ideal anchor tenant, the Krafts learned of Bass Pro and later contacted the retailer about building a new store in Patriot Place.

During our development planning, we scouted numerous stores for Patriot Place and were blown away by the size and scope of the Bass Pro Shops that we visited, Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft said in the release. They are more than just stores they are destinations for many shoppers. New England has never had a store quite like Bass Pro Shops, and we are proud to bring it to Foxborough.
