Republicans Overtook Democrats In Voter Registration Mostly By Subtraction

Florida Republican ARRESTED For Changing Voter Registrations To Republican

House passes police recruitment package

With October voter registration data posted Friday on the Florida Division of Elections website, unofficial announcements made three weeks ago at last were confirmed by public, official counts: There now are more registered Republicans than registered Democrats in Florida, for the first time ever.

But the voter registration numbers posted through October dont show any big voter registration push by the Republican Party of Florida.

Instead, they show the RPOF was not hit as hard by voter losses as the Florida Democratic Party. That is, Republicans won the latest count by having their registered voters rolls shrink less since last year.

According to the latest counts issued Friday by the Secretary of States Division of Elections, on Oct. 31 there were 5,118,357 registered Republicans and 5,114,039 registered Democrats. That gives the RPOF 4,318 more voters than the FDP.

Never before have Republicans outnumbered Democrats in Florida.

Just last year, in the 2020 General Election, Democrats held a 134,242 voter advantage. A few years ago, Democrats advantage was more than a half-million.

Voter registration rolls tend to stay flat or decline a bit in the year after a presidential election. In the past year, however, Floridas electoral rolls declined a lot.

Democrats provided analysis of deactivated voters that showed considerably more Democrats than Republicans removed.

Republicans, however, are celebrating the change in tide.

That is, being a conservative doesnt mean you have to believe in gun rights. Or being a liberal wont force you to support abortion. Even some of the politicians in the same party may disagree on several topics. So, you dont have to get along with everything your party offers.

Left Wing And Right Wing Politics

Politics is said to be split in half and you either have left or right political views. Left-wing politics is typically associated with progressive ideas and equality. Democrats are viewed as left-wingers. Right-wing politics values tradition, equity, and survival of the fittest. Republicans are viewed as right-wingers.

Left-Wing

Left-wing beliefs are liberal in that they believe society is best served with an expanded role of the government. Examples of an expanded role for the government include entitlement programs such as social security and Medicare, Medicaid, universal healthcare, food stamps, free public education, unemployment benefits, strong environmental laws, and other regulations on industries.

Right Wing

Right-wingers believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount and the role and especially the power of the government is minimized. Right-wing ideology would favor market-based solutions to the issues that these government programs aim to tackle. For example, encouraging a freer marketplace for healthcare, driven by consumer choice to drive down costs. Or privately held retirement accounts like 401 plans instead of government-guaranteed Social Security.
