The rear springs on mine only gave me about an inch of lift. I called them and they sent me some 2 inch poly spacers for the rear which gave me 3 inches of lift all around. I am on stock tires and the lip of the rear fender flare is 36 inches off the ground. The front is 35 inches. Getting the clevis bolt back into the lower control arm was a real PIA. I can’t say that it is a bad lift. It’s probably not the best out there either. The ride is comparable with stock. Hope this helps._________________’03 SportGrand Cherokee TCM, Skids, Superwinch EPi 9.0 in cradle mount with 125′ 5/16 Viking Trail Line, Mopar Rock Rails, Trac-Loc Diff, Frankenlift in front and Skyjacker/JBA springs out back, Monroe Reflex Shocks in rear, JBA Gen 4.5 Upper Control Arms, Moog LBJ’s, 245/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.

Patriot Lift Kit Yes Or No
Gavin said:Thanks Rosso Racer. I had a look at the Rocky Road kit and and they seem pretty confident but I’ve read so many bad reviews online on different sites about their lift kit that I got spooked. Average rating of 3/10 everywhere… so yeah… I dunno
Gavin said:Hey everyone. I know this topic has been brought up so many times but honestly I don’t have the patience to read through thousands of posts. Can anyone give me a definitive Yes or No regarding lift kits for the Patriot? Here in South Africa every 4×4 specialist company tells me my steering will “fall out” or “dont do it” or “Buy a wrangler” or “Patriots cant be modified”. Can a patriot be lifted without any steering/installation/handling/alignment problems or will I stuff up my vehicle having it installed? And if it can, what brand is the best? I’m a printer and not a mechanic/enthusiast so I really don’t have much knowledge about what makes a car go forward once you turn the ignition on Thanks in advance and sorry for bringing up this topic again!Cheers Gavin
Sam Normandy said:This is an old thread so I dont know if this is still relevant.I have the Rough Country 2″ lift and leveling kit. I love it. It allowed me to to mount 245/17/65 A/Ts. Over all I ended up with about 5″ of lift. It drives great and is a beast in mud and snow.

I Have Problems With My Rough Country Liftkit
First, you should install the complete kit. Then have an alignment done by a competent shop that knows how to work with lifted vehicles. An alignment will have to be done no matter what lift kit you use or you’ll have problems.
Sandstone said:How do you know the problem is from the axles, or if it’s from the alignment being off?If the axles are worn and not liking the extra angle, then they’ll probably still have problems even after the alignment. Are the axles leaking grease? Have they been checked for excessive play?Adding a lift is always a gamble as to whether or not you’ll have problems, you just have to work through them a step at a time and in the end you may decide it’s just not worth the trouble.I have little experience with Wal-marts shops, but I’d imagine for most part they work to factory spec and don’t like dealing with modifications. They are not leaking grease. But im pretty sure fue angle that they have with the lift kit is bigger than without it. I im not sure how the alignment will solve the problem. I will be more than glad if You can tellme about your experiences with your patriot and lift kit, probably is not fue same Type of lift kit but still want to know to take it in consideration
