Uss Yorktown At Patriots Point
Walk in the steps of heroes when you visit Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, located just up the road from our resort. This museum is home to the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, USS Laffey destroyer, and USS Clamagore submarine, as well as a Vietnam Experience Exhibit, the National Medal of Honor Museum, and various aircraft. Officials Clear Early Morning Incident At Charleston Harbor Resort And Marina No Injuries Reported
MT. PLEASANT, S.C Officials responded to an early morning reported structure fire at a local Mt. Pleasant hotel.
According to dispatch, the call for a structure fire came in at 4:42 a.m. for the Charleston Harbor Resort Harborside Hotel on Patriots Point Rd.
Multiple agencies were on the scene responding to the incident including the Mt. Pleasant Police Department and Mt. Pleasant Fire Department.
News 2 crews reported seeing smoke coming from the area just before 5:00 a.m. All guests were evacuated as officials worked to determine the cause of the smell of smoke and smoke on the scene.
No injuries were reported.

Fire Crews: Smoke At Charleston Harbor Resort From Malfunctioning Hvac System
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. -The Mount Pleasant Fire Department says they responded to the Charleston Harbor Resort for a reported fire Wednesday morning.
Mount Pleasant Fire Department Representative Matthew Tidwell says they responded to 20 Patriots Point Road.
When it was reported, Tidwell said the fire department was preparing for a possible structure fire.
Tidwell says crews arrived on scene to the 4-story hotel and assisted hotel guests and employees out of the structure. He says fire crews investigated what was causing the smell of smoke and smoke scene in the structure.
Ultimately, Tidwell confirmed with firefighters on the scene that the smoke being seen was caused by an HVAC system that malfunctioned.
He says this is what caused smoke to fill in the lobby, but crews have shut that system down and removed power to it.
Crews are now releasing employees and Tidwell says guests are being let back into the building. Tidwell says the incident has been isolated.
No injuries were reported, Tidwell said.

We had a standard room on the fourth floor. The room was spacious and very clean. Our check in was smooth and very efficient. The desk representatives were so helpful in giving us recommendations for things to see and also restaurant choices. Mackenzie was so helpful giving us tips for dining at night. All the staff were helpful and very kind. I would definitely stay again. It is a super convenient hotel to stay in and be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. Only took us 7 minutes to get to Bay Street from the hotel.

We love love LOVE THE TIKI BAR!!! So here’s the deal. We keep our boat at the marina. While we like the Fish House, it is not exactly a roll in with your swimsuit on and belly up to the bar kinda place. So we love the relaxed “no worries” atmosphere at the tiki bar. The bar tenders are awesome, especially Tony. Super attentive! The drinks are great of course, but the food is super. We love the chips and the ahi tuna tacos There is music in the background, loud enough to hear the song and sing along, but not too loud to interrupt your conversation. We are super excited to have found this little gem!
