The hour long North Bay Harbor Cruise is a fully narrated tour of North Island Naval Air Station, Shelter Island, the Naval Sub Base, and Cabrillo National Monument. The one-hour tour of South Harbor includes the Star of India, the U.S. Navy Surface Fleet, Coronado Bay Bridge, and the local shipyards. It is also fully narrated. Recommend wrap around shades and possibly earplugs for those with sensitive ears to wind noise. Fantastic fun! Height restriction.

An absolutely huge harbour with large numbers of naval vessels throughout. Buzzing aircraft and helicopters overhead added to the atmosphere. A nice comfortable boat with good commentary but to be honest the literally sea of vessels spoke for themselves. The best moment getting close to three giant naval carriers. Where else in world can you do that these days? Excellent tour and I would suggest the two hour program to do it justice.
We went on the South Tour and thought it very good. The 11.15 tour was very busy and the top deck was very popular, so get there early if you want to be sure of getting on the top deck. Take sunscreen or a hat as there is no shade. Captain was very knowledgeable about the Navy’s ships, and the other sights to see. If you want to do both North and South trips you just stay on the boat as they alternate the two. If you want a coffee or ice cream before or after there is a little café just a short distance away from the dock. They do hot food as well. Can’t remember their name though.
