Case Summary: Westchester District Attorneys Office of Mimi E. Rocah has reportedly launched a criminal investigation, led by Elliott B. Jacobson, examining, at least in part, whether the Trump Organization misled local officials about the property value of its golf course to reduce its taxes.

Trump Explicitly Promotes Qanon Conspiracy Theories On Truth Social
In one slide, it says that under a Trump presidency, “America comes first” and “not illegals” and “not refugees” and “not foreign workers.”
Another image says that the “real insurrection” is “how the Democrats cheated in 2020” and adds, “Never Forget.”
The montage then says that people should prepare for a “storm” and then displays a graphic showing the U.S. Capitol: “It’s going to be biblical.” Many of thosearrested in connection with the on the Capitol were QAnon followers.
Two other posts he promoted on Truth Social included explicit religious connotations including one that stated: “I believe God can do it through him.” And another post with a meme of Jesus and the words: “Jesus is the greatest. President @realdonaldtrump is the second greatest.”
Trump has posted and reposted QAnon-related material before, but it’s now becoming a consistent embrace for him.
The QAnon conspiracy theory was built around Q, an anonymous account that posts periodically on 8kun, often with vague or symbolic language that is then interpreted by followers. The account claims to document a secret battle being waged by Trump against the Democratic Party, which followers of the theory contend is run by satanic, child-eating cannibals who run a pedophile ring filled with celebrities and political elites who have been covertly running the United States government for decades. None of the posts concrete predictions has come to fruition.

Plaintiff: Summer Zervos, former contestant on the Apprentice
Case Summary: On Jan. 17, 2017, Zervos filed a suit in New York State Court against Trump for defamation. During Trumps campaign, many women, including Zervos, accused Trump of inappropriate sexual conduct. In her complaint against Trump, Zervos claims that in 2007, while she sought employment from Trump, he kissed her on the lips and touched her inappropriately. After she rejected his advances, his attitude became very business-like and he later offered her a job for half the salary she was seeking. She attempted to contact Trump, noting that she felt she was being penalized for not sleeping with him. Trump said he could not discuss it with her at the time. Zervos says she decided to come forward with these allegations after the Billy Bush Access Hollywood Tape showed Trump speaking in a derogatory manner toward women. In response to her allegations, Trump claims she was lying and was only making these accusations to help the Clinton campaign or to get fame.
Zervos alleges that, as a result of Trumps claims, she has suffered both emotional and financial harm.
This motion has been appealed to the New York Court of Appeals, the highest New York state court.
Update-3: On Nov. 12, 2021, Zervos announced she is dropping the lawsuit.

Case Summary: On Sept. 3, 2015, the plaintiffs were demonstrating on the sidewalk outside Trump Tower in Manhattan. According to the plaintiffswho self-identify as of Mexican originthey were protesting the inflammatory anti-Mexican statements that Trump made during 2015 campaign events. Soon after the plaintiffs arrived, Trump Tower security guards allegedly attacked them and destroyed their protest signs.
That same month, the plaintiffs sued Trump, the Trump Organization, Trumps campaign, Trumps head bodyguard, and the alleged attackers in New York state court. The plaintiffs allege that Trump and his co-defendants are liable for assault and battery, conversion and destruction of property, and tortious interference with political speech. To tie Trump to his guards conduct, the plaintiffs allege that Trump was careless in hiring and supervising his security detail and, separately, that Trump should be held vicariously liablea type of secondary liability often used to hold employers to account for their employees harmful actions. To prevail against Trump on this vicarious liability theory, the plaintiffs would need to show that the guards were acting as Trumps employees or agents at the time and attacked the plaintiffs to advance Trumps interests in some way.

Florida State Attorney Suggests Donald Trump Could Be Indicted After The Elections
It’s mere weeks ahead of the 2020 midterm election and while Donald Trump isn’t on the ballot, one Florida state attorney thinks that the Justice Department is holding back on an indictment until after the votes are cast. A few months ago, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a memo saying that no politician on a ballot could be indicted ahead of the election without approval by him personally.
Speaking to FloridaPolitics, Dave Aronberg said that he thinks Trump’s possession of government documents, refusal to hand them over and the discovery of top-secret, classified and nuclear information sitting around Mar-a-Lago is likely the line that former president crossed.
We have reports that involve nuclear materials, we have reports that involve foreign spies, but we dont know for sure, saidAronberg, who serves in the 15th Judicial Circuit, which is where Trump’s Palm Beach County country club is located. And thats where Im guessing involve that, and I think he will be indicted after the midterms.
As for Jan. 6, Aronberg said ,If youre going to charge the former President with any crimes, you have to tie him directly to the violence. Its not so easy to do.
Ny Ballot Proposal #1
Ballot proposal number 1 will ask voters if they want to approve the Environmental Bond Act of 2022.
This proposal would allow the state to borrow $4.2 billion for specific environmental projects.
“This is really smart fiscal strategy,” Peter Iwanowicz, Executive Director Environmental Advocates NY explained. “It’s great environmental policy. And on the back end, we’re going to create all these jobs.”

Iwanowicz says this money will go towards improving water infrastructure, replacing old school buses with zero emissions school buses and creating renewable energy projects. If approved, it would be the first environmental bond act enacted in New York in 26 years.
“When you look at the broader social cost of climate pollution that’s emitted in New York, it’s more than $25 billion a year,” Iwanowicz said. “It’s people getting sick and dying prematurely. It’s communities having to clean up after extreme weather events.”

Trumps attorney, Alina Habba, called the lawsuit an unchecked abuse of authority.
Hes also used similar language to dismiss convictions of those in his orbit and, at times, inner circle.

Former US president Donald Trump celebrated his 75th birthday on Monday and the event was a low-key affair. Trump marked his 75th birthday with a dinner at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Donald Trump Jr, the son of former US president, took to his Instagram account to share some photos of the birthday party. The guests included Donald Jr.s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, former NFL star Herschel Walker, Indiana congressman Jim Banks and Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert.
The most notable absentee was Donald Trump’s wife and former First Lady, Melania Trump.
Ex-wife Ivana Trump once said in an interview that “Donald hates his birthdays”, and a source also told People magazine that Melania “keeps her own schedule and leads her own life” away from her husband.
The absence of Melania has once again sparked the divorce rumors between the couple but writer Kristyn Burtt said that it is wrong to say that Melania has decided to part ways with Donald Trump.
She said: “She did that at the start of his administration when she and son Barron remained in New York City so he could finish out the school year before they moved to Washington, D.C. The couple has very different hobbies and seems to prefer their independent activities, but no one should read too much into her absence. This shouldnt be seen as a sign that there is trouble in their marriage.”

Prosecuting Office: In 2019, then-President Trump sued to block subpoenas issued by three House Committees and the Manhattan District Attorney seeking his financial information in 2019. As of Feb. 22, the Manhattan DA now has access to Trumps tax information.
Case Summary: In 2019, the House Intelligence and Finance Committees issued subpoenas to both Deutsche Bank and Capital One seeking information about then-President Trumps finances. Before the banks complied with the subpoenas, Trump sued, seeking a declaratory judgment that they were unenforceable and an injunction that would have prevented the banks from disclosing Trumps financial information. In addition, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Mazars, Trumps accounting firm, demanding additional accounting information. Trump again sued to block the subpoena.
In parallel, Manhattan District Attorney, Cyrus Vance Jr., subpoenaed Mazars, for access to Trumps tax records. Trump again sued to prevent the disclosure of this information.
Case Status: With the seating of the new Congress in January 2021, the Congressional subpoenas expired. The Vance subpoena again reached the Supreme Court, which on Feb. 22, refused to block it. His spokesperson has confirmed that the office now has access to Trumps tax returns, including millions of pages of documents. Charges have not been filed.

Ny Ballot Proposal #4
The last proposal that will appear on the ballot, Ballot Proposal Number 4, would require that the city track the true cost of living in New York City.
Right now, the city uses a method that calculates public assistance as income which some say skews the true economic picture.
The proposal would instead measure just the costs of living in the city, such as housing, food, transportation and other necessities.
“If you are a resident of New York City, how much does it actually cost you to stay alive in the city? That’s really what this is,” Lerner said. “Lets be honest about what the costs and not let’s not use some artificial method.”
Lerner also worked with the legislature to introduce a bill for next year that would require these ballot propositions be written at an eighth grade level, to make them easier to understand. Right now, these ballot propositions are written by lawyers, at times, at a graduate level.
Megyn Kellys Ridiculous Claim

Apparently the events of Jan. 6 werent as bad as the media is making it out to be. Thats according to former Fox News and NBC personality Megyn Kelly.
The insurrection came up while Kelly was on a podcast with comedian Chrissie Mayr. Downplaying what happened first started with Mayr, who said, I was there and anybody who was there on the 6th is, like, blown away by how, like, inaccurate the media coverage is. At this point, its like I dont want to listen to anybodys thoughts on the 6th unless they were like there, like physically there, because it was so, like, not a big deal.
She also called it extremely peaceful and chill.
Perhaps Mayr was a different part of the insurrection? You know, the part that didnt include breaking into the Capitol, killing a police officer and fighting other law enforcement officials?
But then Kelly said, There is no question the media represented it as so much worse than it actually was.
No question? Im curious. Kelly, Mayr and others who are downplaying that day: They do realize this is all on video, right?
Meanwhile, it was announced last week that Kelly is getting a show on SiriusXM starting in September. The Megyn Kelly show will air weekdays from noon to 2 p.m. Eastern on the Triumph channel 111.

Panama Hotel Fraud And Tax Litigation

Plaintiff: Ithaca Capital, a real estate holding company that purchased a majority of the Trump International Hotel in Panama
Case Summary: Donald Trumps private hotel businessTrump International Hotels Managementis embroiled in federal litigation over a hotel management deal gone bad. Until 2018, Trump International operated a luxury hotel in Panama. As was its standard business practice, Trump International contracted with a separate owner to provide management services and use of the Trump label. When a prior owner went bankrupt in 2015, Ithaca Capital moved to purchase a majority of the hotels units. But per Ithaca, Trump representatives made a series of fraudulent claims that oversold the hotels profitability. Unaware, Ithaca went ahead with the purchase.
The hotel soon ran into financial trouble, and the relationship between the two parties collapsed. Once Ithaca ended the partnership, it claims to have discovered that Trump International had allegedly underreported costs, diverted hotel revenue, and failed to pay income taxes.
The parties are currently in discovery and are due to finish by Fall 2021.
Update: The parties filed a series of sealed letters in July and August 2021. On Sept. 15, 2021, the parties voluntarily agreed to end the suit.
Attempts To Overturn Georgia Election
Whats happening? Prosecutors in Atlanta opened a criminal inquiry into Trumps ham-handed effort to pressure Georgia officials into overturning the results of the 2020 election. The state probe is led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who seated a grand jury in March. She also sent letter to potential witnesses asking them to save documents and cooperate with the probe.
What could be next? Subpoenas are probably the next phase, and theyd likely be sent to some of the GOP state officials that Trump tried to pressure. But Willis office is backlogged, and the inquiry has moved slowly so far. Its unclear when these subpoenas will be issued. And that would just be an early step toward building a case.
