Whitman-Hanson Athletics is announcing the newest class of Hall of Fame Inductees. These deserving men and women, along with two teams, will be inducted on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 5:00pm at South Shore Country Club. Tickets may be purchased at www.whathletics.com. The inductees will also be presented to the community at halftime of the homecoming football game on Friday October 7th against Silver Lake. This is the second induction class for Whitman-Hanson Athletics.

Serving as the most heroic round of golf you will ever play, Patriot Golf Day began as a grassroots fundraising initiative over Labor Day Weekend in 2007, with golfers nationwide encouraged to add an extra dollar to their green fees to fund Folds of Honor scholarships. Over the last 13 years, the effort has grown to encompass onsite donation boxes, a variety of fundraising events, tournaments and golf marathons led by PGA Professionals and golfers nationwide.
Folds of Honor, a nonprofit that has provided more than 28,000 educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and disabled Veterans, and PGA HOPE are the hosts of Patriot Golf Day. Wh Hires New Baseball Coach
Whitman- Whitman-Hanson Regional High School announced todaythe appointment of Matt Henriksen as its new varsity baseball coach. Henriksen, who played college baseball atTusculum College in Tennessee, grew up in Hingham where he was an all-star baseballplayer and a member of a Patriot League championship team. He has a wide array of coaching experiencemost recently serving as the assistant coach at Nobles and Greenough School inDedham. Prior to that, he was a JV andassistant coach at Hingham High School. He also has worked with countless players in AAU and private lessons.

Difficult Late Season Stretch

The Patriots 2021 season was defined by lack of success down the stretch, as the team lost four of its five games after the bye. As they look to finish strong in 2022, the schedule doesnt do them any favors.
For a five week stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Patriots play four primetime games two Thursday night games at Minnesota and at home against the Bills , followed by a Monday night game in Arizona then a Sunday night game in Las Vegas. They then have a short week before returning home to take on the Bengals on Christmas Eve day on Saturday.
Theres a lot to break down here, but what really jumps out is the lack of consistency. Athletes, like most people, enjoy and may even rely on their routines. However, with the game dates jumping all over the place it will be tough to build up any habbits through this stretch which is just one week removed from the bye. While thats not a reason in itself the team should struggle, its yet another element to deal with late in the year.
Even after this stretch, the Patriots schedule doesnt get any easier to close things out. Their final two games see them take on the Dolphins in Week 17 then travel to Buffalo in Week 18.

The play-by-player whose rich baritone pipes produced the perfect pitch for the game he called stands to the left. On the right, in the light-gray sport coat with the stylish peak lapels is the ex-player whose well-versed analysis reflected his well-rounded experiences on the field. Each holds a microphone and wears a smile in this black-and-white image from younger days.
Inset is a smaller, more recent photo in full color. Their look is more practical, they are dressed for the cold. The longtime radio pro, by now a few pounds heavier from the waist up, has a Christmas-patterned scarf draped over his shoulders. His partner, the former playing great wears a jacket bearing the modern-day team logo, still seemingly as fit as when he suited up a half century earlier, as an original franchise icon.
