If you thought poor old Biden was having a hard time, spare a thought for Harris.
Labeled by some as the worst vice president in American history, Harris approval rating plummeted to 32% recently. That makes the VP the most unpopular of all time.
Harris is experiencing a mass exodus of staff, as many of her aides flee what they see as a sinking ship. From claims of a toxic workplace to a complete loss of support, Harris is nowhere near the position many of us thought she would be at this point.
The odds for Kamala Harris to win the 2024 presidential election are +800. Which is very generous, with all things considered? It would be a historic day for the United States if a female president was elected to office and one that many of us would like to see. But Harris? Im not so sure.
Voters dont just want a female president for the sake of having one, as evidenced by Hillary Clintons implosion in 2016. Any president, regardless of their sex or background, should be there on merit. Harris, unfortunately, has shown no aptitude in her current role and, therefore, is highly unlikely to be the leader this country needs.

Do Republicans Agree With Trumps Demand For A Do
By all appearances, Donald Trump is looking ahead to 2024 and gearing up for yet another Republican presidential campaign. Whats more interesting, however, is his apparent belief that he might not have to wait that long to return to the White House. HuffPost highlighted the former presidents latest pitch:
If anyone needed more evidence of Donald Trumps mind-bending view of reality, on Monday he demanded to be declared president nearly two years after the election he decisively lost. But he was also open to another option. In a minimal alternative solution, someone must immediately launch a do-over election, he said in a message on Truth Social.
Yes, nearly 22 months after losing by a fairly wide margin, Trump turned to his Twitter-like platform again yesterday to complain incoherently about the FBI and Hunter Bidens laptop. The Republican concluded his missive, Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!
That was shortly before noon. In the middle of the night according to the timestamp, 1:46 a.m. eastern Trump returned to the subject. After more incoherent FBI/laptop whining, the former president again wrote, Declare the rightful winner, or hold a new Election, NOW!
For reasons unknown, hes apparently become fixated on this anew.

Voters in the US state of Wyoming have ousted congresswoman Liz Cheney, a rare Republican critic of former President Donald Trump, in a primary election.
She has been trounced by a relative political newcomer and Trump-backed candidate, Harriet Hageman.
Ms Cheney, 56, was one of only two members of her party to join the congressional committee investigating Mr Trump’s attempts to cling to power.
The three-term congresswoman was once a rising Republican star.
All 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Mr Trump after his supporters attacked the US Capitol building in January last year have been targeted in a scorched-earth campaign of revenge.
So far, four have retired, and now four have been defeated by his chosen candidates in primary ballots in the states of Wyoming, Washington, Michigan and South Carolina.
Only two have successfully maintained their places on the Republican ticket for re-election.
Ms Cheney was the last of the 10 to face the Trumpian assault.
Elsewhere, Republican Sarah Palin – who is eyeing a political comeback – has advanced to November’s election in Alaska in the race to represent the state in the House of Representatives.
Ms Palin, 58, rose to prominence as a vice-presidential candidate in 2008. Donald Trump is her key ally and supporter.
This year Alaska’s party primaries have been replaced with open primaries in which the top four candidates go to the general election.

How Do Republicans Feel About Trump
Polling is one indication of Trumps sway over the GOP. By the end of his presidency, he had an approval rating of just 38.6%, and an October 2021 Pew Research poll found that only 44% of Republicans want Trump to run again in 2024.
But his supporters are die-hards, and some happen to be party elites and major GOP donors. Despite Trump’s 2020 electoral loss and two impeachments, his rallies are still highly attended by enthusiastic participants. And, following Trump’s criticism of the Commission on Presidential Debates as biased against him during the 2020 election, the Republican National Committee signaled its plan to require its candidates to withdraw from presidential debates.

For now, Trump is also maintaining strong fiscal support. At the start of 2022, his team announced that its various political committees had amassed $122 million in funding. And it would have taken fewer than 44,000 votes, spread across swing states Georgia, Arizona and Wisconsin, to reverse the outcome.
Republicans, including Trump allies, say it’s too early to know what he will do, or what the political landscape will look like, in four years. A busload of Republican hopefuls are taking similar strides to position themselves. They include former Vice President Mike Pence, who is speaking to New Hampshire Republicans on Thursday, an event that the Concord Monitor called the kickoff of the 2024 race.

On another issue important to voters, Morris said Trump and the Republicans have a strong hand to play as the law-and-order party and paint Biden and the Democrats as soft on crime during the fall midterms and in 2024.
He said the left wing of the Democratic Partys campaign to defund the police is a gift to Trump and the GOP.
The crime issue is particularly toxic for the Democrats, because it is obvious to voters that it was not nearly as bad a problem before Biden was elected. The Left wants to cut the number of uniformed police and replace them with social workers and psychologists to stem violence and escalation. So the next time you worry that a criminal is trying to break into your home, call 911 and wait for a social worker to arrive, he said.
The Lefts goal is not to reduce crime by cutting the number of murders, rapes, and robberies. It is to reduce punishment, incarceration, and harsh sentencing by decriminalizing crime.
He said decriminalization of marijuana makes sense, but Democrats have gone overboard with policies such as eliminating cash bail.

A new CBS poll has found that the majority of Americans dont want former President Donald Trump to run for election again in 2024.
The poll found that only 35 per cent of all voters wanted Mr Trump to stand as a presidential candidate, whereas 65 per cent did not want him to stand.
Among Republican voters, the majority want Mr Trump to re-run in the upcoming election, around seven in 10 are for the former president being in the race, with 69 per cent of red voters wanting him to stand versus 31 per cent who would rather have another candidate run for office.
Will Trump Run Again
Despite his defeat last fall, many believe Trump still holds the keys to the future of the GOP. The former president has retained an extremely loyal base of supporters, and his popularity among Republicans does not seem to have been damaged by his checkered political past.
Trump was impeached twice during his first and only term in the White House, and his four-year stint was marred by a seemingly endless array of scandals. Trump was rather fortunate to escape his first three years in office without a legitimate disaster, but that changed last year when the pandemic upended everything.
Trumps disastrous response to the pandemic may have ultimately cost him his chance at re-election. The economy, which had been Trumps primary selling point beforehand, subsequently went into the tank. His approval rating among non-GOP voters was questionable to begin with. However, in spite of it all, Trump may be able to win his partys nomination again in 2024 if he wants to. While some within the party may have decided to move on, there does not seem to be a very obvious heir to his throne. Trump is still the single most popular Republican in the country.

What Will Happen If Trump Gets Re

And there is still a high chance that Trump will get re-elected, especially if white voters with no college education turn out in huge numbers on November 3, and at the same time Biden voters college-educated, affluent, and/or African-American and Latino voters do not do so. Trump could still come out on top if women voters do not flood the polling booths in favor of Biden and Harris.

He blasted his own cabinet members for not arresting his foes such as Obama, Biden and Hillary.
He called climate change a hoax, and said wind turbines cause cancer. He pulled out of the Paris Climate Treaty, destroying hopes for a meaningful global action.
He publicly used dirty words on women. He did it many times.
He promised to destroy labor unions.

Trump’s political party affiliation has changed numerous times. He registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987, switched to the Reform Party in 1999, the Democratic Party in 2001, and back to the Republican Party in 2009.
Trump first floated the idea of running for president in 1987, placing full-page advertisements in three major newspapers, proclaiming “America should stop paying to defend countries that can afford to defend themselves.” The advertisements also advocated for “reducing the budget deficit, working for peace in Central America, and speeding up nuclear disarmament negotiations with the Soviet Union“.DCCC chair Rep. Beryl Anthony Jr. told The New York Times that “the message Trump has been preaching is a Democratic message.” Asked whether rumors of a presidential candidacy were true, Trump denied being a candidate, but said, “I believe that if I did run for President, I’d win.” In 1988, he approached Lee Atwater asking to be put into consideration as Republican nominee George H.W. Bush‘s running mate. Bush found the request “strange and unbelievable.” According to a Gallup poll in December 1988, Trump was the tenth most admired man in America.

Opinion: This Is How Donald Trump Becomes President Again
Ever since Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, Ive been among those who believed he would never run for president again. Hed keep the option open for as long as possible to get attention and keep other Republicans genuflecting to him, but he wouldnt go through with it. It would just be too much trouble at his age , and the idea of losing yet again would be too frightening.
But the events of the last few months have increased the likelihood that Trump could survey the landscape and decide that he could waltz right back into the White House if he wanted.
Not because hed get more Americans to vote for him barring some kind of unforeseen catastrophe, its difficult to see that happening. But because his party has so aggressively worked to twist and corrupt the U.S. electoral system, he could clearly lose both the popular and electoral votes and still become president again.
Its too early to say how likely this is, but heres how it could go down.
Step one: Trump decides to run, and obliterates the primary field.
While many Republicans are considering a presidential bid, some of whom are savvy operators, there isnt one who looks remotely like they could defeat Trump in a presidential primary.

In October 2020, Trump signed an executive order reclassifying tens of thousands of federal workers to remove their employment protections and make them easier to fire. The National Treasury Employees Union sued to stop the change, and before a court could rule on the challenge, Biden took office and revoked the order.
Lately, Trump has declared his intent to restore the change and put it to greater use. Hes gone further by calling on Congress to overhaul the civil service through a statute, which could be more sweeping and harder to reverse than an executive order.
