Baffled By Support For Trump

It baffles me as to how people can continue to support former President Donald Trump.
In my view, Trump has done more to destroy democracy than any other president in history. He tried to steal an election. He incited a riot against Congress. He has his minions trying to change election laws to make it harder to vote. He essentially tried to destroy NATO and rebuffed our allies while playing footsies with Russia, China and North Korea. He had in his possession confidential documents from the White House, and who knows what he did or intended to do with them.
In addition, I believe that Trump is an embarrassment to this country because of his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. And he made idiotic remarks about buying Greenland, dropping a nuclear bomb on a hurricane, and Italy allegedly using its satellites to change the votes in election machines.
It seemed that, while Trump was in office, a day didnt go by without him lying about something. If he was Pinocchio, I believe that his nose would stretch from one end of the country to the other.
I could go on, but there is a word limit for letters to the editor.
So for those who continue to support Trump, brush up on your history and I believe that you will see similarities between Trumps actions and what happened in Nazi Germany. If you continue to support Trump and his cohorts who promote his lies and do his bidding, I believe that you are helping to destroy democracy.

Trump Doubles Down On Calls To Donate Directly To Him
Former President Trump doubled down on his calls for Republicans to donate to his leadership PAC rather than the GOP amid a growing feud over the partys use of his name and likeness in its fundraising.
In a statement put out by Save America, Trumps PAC, the former president berated RINOs and fools while maintaining he supports the Republican Party. Its the latest escalation in the fundraising dispute that began over the weekend.
I fully support the Republican Party and important GOP Committees, but I do not support RINOs and fools, and it is not their right to use my likeness or image to raise funds, Trump said, using the acronym for Republicans in name only.
So much money is being raised and completely wasted by people that do not have the GOPs best interests in mind. Doj Asks Judge To Compel Navarro To Return Trump White House Emails
The Department of Justice filed a motion Monday asking a judge to order former White House adviser Peter Navarro to return government email communications he allegedly handled through a private account while serving in the Trump administration.
Driving the news: “While serving as a presidential advisor, used at least one non-official email account, namely a ProtonMail account, to send and receive messages in the course of discharging his official duties,” the DOJ said in its filing to the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
- “There is no genuine dispute of fact that Dr. Navarro used at least one unofficial email account to conduct official business, that those records are the property of the United States, and that Dr. Navarro has refused to return the records to the United States,” the Justice Department said.
- “Indeed, his counsel has expressly admitted as much. Because Dr. Navarro remains in possession of property that belongs to the United States, this Court should issue a writ of replevin requiring Dr. Navarro to return what he wrongfully continues to possess.”
The other side: Representatives for Navarro did not immediately respond to Axios’ request for comment, but his lawyers told The Hill when the DOJ filed the lawsuit last month that he “never refused to provide records to the government” and he had “instructed his lawyers to preserve all such records.”

No credible evidence of substantial voter fraud has been uncovered in the more than 10 months since Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to President Joe Biden, while the election results have long since been certified and finalized. Trump has continued to fight the outcome despite there being no legal pathway for him to be declared the winner or return to office without winning another election.
I think youre going to be incredibly impressed by whats happening and I think maybe by the next election, said Trump, who has repeatedly hinted that he will be a 2024 candidate without making a firm commitment to run.

Trump Sends Out Email Fundraising Off Of Mar
On The Last Word With Lawrence ODonnell Tuesday, the MSNBC host kicked off the show by sharing an email hed received from former President Donald Trumps fundraising team. This email was asking for donations in response to the former presidents Mar-a-Lago home being raided by the FBI Monday, executing a lawful search warrant, reportedly looking for classified material Trump took when he left the White House, which is against the law. ODonnell read the email aloud as it appeared on the screen.
Mar-a-Lago was raided, the email began. The radical Left is corrupt. We must return the power to the people. Please rush in a donation immediately to publicly stand with me against this never-ending witch hunt.
This is nothing out of the ordinary for Trump. Just a few weeks ago, he posted online announcing the death of his ex-wife, Ivana. The statement included a donation link at the bottom.
ODonnell continued, stating that the email came with a donation suggestion and a deadline.
