This project is an 85,000 sf fit-up of a satellite multi-disciplinary ambulatory care center on three floors of a new four story medical office building. The services include a full spectrum of radiology modalities, medical and surgical specialties, cardiac diagnostic, pharmacy, orthopedic and rehab, primary care and a four operating room ambulatory surgery suite. The facility is part of the larger Patriot Place mixed-use development located immediately adjacent to Gillette Stadium. This project included the fit-up and furnishing of 16,000 gsf of shell/core space for use by the MGH rehabilitation program in a satellite facility, within the multi-disciplinary ambulatory care center. The program includes a large Swimex pool, as well as equipment for joint/muscles and cardiac rehabilitation. This project required interior design as well as architectural and full MEP services.

There are five words that always make Beth Regan, MS, CCC-SLP, senior speech language pathologist in Rehabilitation Services, smile when she meets with patients at Brigham and Womens/Mass General Health Care Center at Patriot Place in Foxborough: Im so relieved youre here.
Thats because, until recently, the Speech and Swallow Service at the Brigham had primarily functioned as an inpatient service. Upon recognizing the large and growing need for more comprehensive speech therapy services in an outpatient, community-based setting, the Rehabilitation Services team opened the ambulatory speech clinic in Foxborough last fall. The launch follows an expansion of outpatient services last summer on the main campus, where the team hosts a half-day clinic for patients with swallowing disorders.
The Foxborough clinic, which operates five days a week, cares for patients with a diverse range of needs around swallowing disorders, language disorders, speech difficulties and cognitive deficits. Patients may be referred to the service following a neurological event that affects their speech, such as a concussion or stroke, or if they experience difficulty swallowing food, liquids or medication.
Regan, who serves as the Foxborough clinics sole speech pathologist, said many patients have expressed appreciation for having access to these specialized services in the local community.

Brigham And Womens Faulkner Hospital Now Offering Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
In the Rehabilitation Services Department at Brigham and Womens Faulkner Hospital, experts in physical therapy specialize in techniques that combine comprehensive treatments with exercise instructions to restore, maintain and encourage optimal function, health and fitness. And now, patients with pelvic floor dysfunction can find relief from their symptoms using the same approach.
The pelvic floor physical therapy program, developed by Rachel Wolk, PT, DPT, and Lucia Sloane, PT, DPT, includes the evaluation and treatment of women with bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and urinary dysfunction. We see women across the spectrum, from women who have never had children, to women in the post-partum period, to post-menopausal women, says Wolk.
Wolk says pelvic floor dysfunction can look like a lot of things, including bowel incontinence and pain with intercourse. But the most common symptom we see is urinary incontinence, she explains. A lot of people think that leaking urine is a normal part of being a woman. While its a common part, its not a normal part. There is something you can do about it and we are here to help.
During that first visit, the physical therapist will evaluate muscle tone, muscle strength and muscle endurance. During subsequent visits, patients will learn to coordinate a pelvic floor contraction and elongation through exercises led by the physical therapist. Patients may also work on increasing strength and endurance or trigger point release.
