Fosters Create Smoky Mountain Vacation Empire
Twenty years ago, Wayne and Cathy Foster bought two cabins in the Great Smoky Mountains for their family vacations.
The plan was to rent them when family members werent using them.
Everybody looked at me like I was crazy, Wayne Foster said. I tried to find a rental company to handle them and I didnt like what I found. Nobody had an internet presence.
He already had a computer company, The Systems Specialist, so the Fosters created American Patriot Getaways, a company that handles cabin rentals for cabin owners like themselves.
We were the first rental company in the Smokies to stay open year round, Foster says. Today, were the largest single company renting cabins there.
Jeanna Siddons, the companys chief financial officer, said American Patriot Getaways now rents 470 cabins 27 owned by the Fosters and the rest by others.
Several of our clients have just one cabin, she said. And some have up to 10.
Cabins range from one to 13 bedrooms.
A lot of church groups and small conferences rent the larger ones, Siddons said. They have meeting rooms.
Ive been so blessed, Foster said. Ive had the greatest employees.
Fifty-nine people work in reservations at the companys headquarters 3864 Vincent Station Drive and around 300 are contract workers in housekeeping and maintenance in the Pigeon Forge-Gatlinburg area.
Siddons said, Wayne and Cathy made sure all employees were taken care of They sent out gift cards.

My Wife And I Rented A Cabin For Our
My wife and I rented a cabin for our honeymoon. It was super clean and had everything that was advertised. It had the plates, cups, bowls, pot & pans and silverware. The Hot Tub was on a screened in porch which was really nice. The only issue we had was the grill would not light but no big deal we adapted. We would definitely stay there again. The booking, checking in and checking out was extremely easy.

Id recommend trying to arrive to the cabin during the daylight the first time that you go because some of the roads arent well.

My Stay At One Of The Cabins With American Patriot
Everything was very nice, the only complaint that we had was some of the dishes in the cabins was dirty and the pool table was broken on one corner all really didn’t want anyone to use it because I didn’t want to get accuse for it then get charge for something that we didn’t do, the beds slept so good and there was plenty of sleeping space. I do look forward to booking with you’ll again in the near future
